This has to be one of the easiest team talks Ernie has had to give. We're unfancied, we're away from home and they're the reigning champions. We shouldn't win and we aren't expected to.
However, I reckon the recent off-seasons where we have traveled will have given the boys some experience in what to expect with travelling internationally. We've started to find a bit of a groove with our counter attack and Kashima have replaced their two centre-backs. Their season is about to start on Friday so they will be fit but unsure how match fit.
I think we can cause an upset by remaining compact, hitting on the break and generally disrupting.
