Your boys have just lost your only decent CB for the rest of the season and are coming up against a duo of deadly strikers who've been scoring against everyone, home and away.

All your hopes are resting on the worlds most attractive footballer/man to get you through.

We havent lost Christensen, and at least we have decent CBs, Hows Mustafi going?

I wasn't having a go at Christenson. But surely you agree that Rudiger has been your best CB this season? He is a pretty big loss for you guys with potentially 5 more very important games? I feel like whichever one of us focuses on the league might lose out in Europa but we could both qualify for UCL that way. The first leg will determine which one of us gives up early and focuses on the league.

Him and Luiz come in at a tie. Luiz has been very good most of the season

The first 30 minutes of this match had flown by. There's been some brilliant football

Cracking first 30. Unlucky not to be 1-1. Mane stretching and Suarez stretching is the difference.

As i expected, Suarez doesn't care about anything but winning.

Barcelona are defending very deep. Acres of room in the midfield

When you're on the other side of the fence, Suarez play-acts like a sook

If Liverpool can keep this to 2 it still sets up a big night at Anfield next week.
Away goal will change it. Milner will be kicking himself

Hmmmm. Wow. You simply cannot stop that. Messi is incredible

    Big mountain to climb now.

And another good opportunity for Liverpool to score.

Agree. He is such a competitor.

We have made chances. Wouldn’t discredit us scoring 3 or 4. But one goal at Anfield and it’s all over.

It annoys me when Salah does it, when Mane does it, Messi and Suarez in the same boat. They are great players and don’t need the rubbish.

It needs to be an early one. Maybe 2 by half time.

That's an almost unrealistic expectation however

100%. They can literally sit Suarez, Messi and whoever up front and keep the other 8 behind the ball and counter just as dangerously as we can.

We created chances and on another night could have had 3 goals without too much going differently. We stifled then for a good portion and we just lapsed and then the free kick.

Milner (2-3), Mane (1) and Salah (1) all had good chances and if even 1 goes in it changes things.
If we get a bit of luck, things can quickly change.
I just don’t think Barca will let us get close. But we genuinely competed for most of this game.

    *fixed*

Don't sell yourself short. Barca were rocked all game, they got hella lucky with the second goal and the 3rd is a freak of nature. Mane, Milner and Henderson had chances that they would bury at home. So that game could have easily been 3-3.

Sometimes football is a bastard and they don't go in.

You'll win at Anfield, Barca won't deal with the atmosphere if they can't get the ball. But I can see you winning 3-1 or 3-2 and still missing out.
