Word is they are majority of last years 1st grade side playing ressies this year. Quite a strong side last year.

We have had a good start but like every year it depends on injuries n work commitments.

Ressies, are stronger this year, picked up a few players and playing well, had a draw in first round, but to goals we conceded where 25 yard bombs, that won't happen very often.
And 3rds just continuing on with last years unbeaten second half of season and GF win

Seems like the 3rd grade coach has got the team on the same path, did reserve grade keep the same coach or got someone new?

(Sorry for questions just curious did not see much of you guys last year)

Feel sorry for Charlestown after the first two rounds, worked hard for results in both games but it was all four nothing.

    Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit

I think Charlestowns lack of pre-season is hitting them hard early on. Once they get some legs, I think you'll find they'll get better.

I dont think they have the squad depth to compete with the top 4 though.

Reserves coach from last year has parted company with the club, and after his successful year, last years 3rds coach got the promotion to fill his spot, and 2 boys from within the club have taken up 3rd grade in a dual player/coach role.

If Barnsley had converted the penalty, Charlestown may have had to release some of that pent up frustration

Seriously though, Barnsley already have more wins, nearly as many points and scored over half of their entire seasons tally from last year in just 2 rounds!
Good effort and good to see them on their way back up!

Funnily enough, their first grade squad last year was stronger imo.

We've only lost two from last year's squad, that regularly played firsts. A lot more depth this year, with majority of reserves team having either previous first grade experience or ones for the future. A few boys playing in different positions to what they did last year, but as a whole results showing we are stronger than last year
