What does our current squad list look like?
How much theoretical room do we have?

Obviously it's January and there's a lot of chatter about the transfer window.

Doesn't matter - Lawrie has said Martin won't have the cash this January?

I don't think they'll bring any new players in, they made it very clear that the budget is tight.
A right back would be good... Or Fornaroli.

If we were to do anything it would be an Asian player with an eye on the ACL. That's it

But we won't be doing anything.

    Jackson and Ridenton

Probs end up at the scum. The home for players not good enough to be in the A League and should wake up every morning thanking there lucky stars they are actually deriving an income from what little football ability they possess.

I'm not usually into the whole "waste of a visa" debate but Ridenton is very clearly a waste of a visa spot.

But he did show more promise than normal on Wednesday. He even had a shot! A visa player having a shot, imagine that ops:

Ridenton's main problem IMO is he has horrendous awareness and gets caught out by rushing opposition midfielders more than any player should - and doesn't have the physical presence to stop it like Kanta does. Let the dude run all day but don't give him the ball, particularly in our half.

If Ridenton was Australian and local he wouldn't cop too much grief though. Which we already have, in Cowburn.
    OK

Cowburn is miles better then Ridenton

well this is also my only problem with Ridenton.
We have a couple of Aussie Ridentons already there in Ugabooga and Cowburn.
We have Kanta who is priceless and the one true Prince.
We also have Johnny K who i always assumed preferred to play there.

it was always a weird position to waste a visa on imho.

Dont know what you been smoking today but stay off it

Cowburn has only ever been a sub player for us

Bloke has been in the squad for 5/6 years and still hasnt looked like cementing a starting position

FFS Virgili was more effective at getting into the starting line up on merit Cowburn has been

Cowburn has looked great everytime he's played this season. Im not trusting Ernie's judgement on players much atm, Bloke is making way too many weird decisions this season
