Maybe no one cares that the Jets are on at the same time?

Unfortunately with this batch of refs you have to take the good with the bad. Same ref handed Magic 3 points last week with a disgraceful penalty decision against Adamstown and cost them 3 points yesterday with a just as poor decision to deny the penalty call

It was a penalty everyday of the week. But with the ref playing the advantage and the maitland player missing The 1v1. It shouldn’t have been called back for a pen

Maitland steal victory scoring 2 goals in the last 3 minutes.
    2-1 over edge

one the referee has played advantage he cant bring it back just because the maitland player couldn't convert it

    Outsider, in your opinion:
In reference to a challenge whereby the defender makes a play at the ball in the box but gets the player and is last man. Let’s say it’s one of those fouls that inside the area results in a yellow and penalty, but outside the box as a last man, it’s a red because theres no penalty benefit.
If the referee plays advantage, and the shot is missed. Is there scope to change the yellow to a red as there was no penalty benefit.

I’m mainly referring to the interpretation that ball playing attempts that are fouls that were once red and penalty, are now yellow and penalty. As the red and penalty was a double whammy. Assuming it wasn’t a red card dangerous tackle.

Edit: not referencing any incident. Just generally speaking.

Grab yourself a Law Book and read page 89 for an explanation
If the referee plays advantage for a DOGSO and a goal is scored it is a YC but technically if no goal results the Law said it should be a RC.This is NEVER applied and is not seen as "fair"as applying the advantage effectively means that a goal scoring opportunity remains;consequently a YC is the fairest sanction whether or not a goal is scored.
    Here endeth the lesson

They don't keep their reserve keeper on the bench?

Quite frankly regardless that they played with 10 men and their main keeper was gone, losing 9-1 is a joke. Surely Valentine to be dropped end of the season

    Hmmm.
    Was a genuine question.
Have myself a rule book and used it for many years.
Hope the rule book has a better explanation than “technically...X” but “to be fair.....Y”.

This result isn't a good look for the league.

Why is that ? Yes it was a blowout, but having your keeper sent off after 4 minutes surely is a major factor for the scoreline.
Brisbane conceded 6 against the Jets with Xl on the park for 90 minutes
