Derby Day is here. Hopped a cab over because the driver was face deep in the form guide.

He lost his shit when he heard us backing Exultant. Bloke was a ledge. This racecourse is magic.

    Just about to head home.
Need a few days to process what the hell happened.

But yeah, truly an epic event.

and Purton was riding like garbage all day.

Exultant was clearly the best horse but was so wide on the turn it had no chance. Ran it out though.

Few of the boys had the winner. Thing had never won anything over 1400 but the boys dubbed it Hong Kong Winx and loaded up.

    it's a slug i think

got gelded, has been mucking around in the paddock, busted its head in the stalls the other day and will be tipped out for another while

think it did a 37 closing 600 in an 800m bit of trackwork. which is alright but would like to see what it does in a proper trial

my mother just bought into the gai horse that mirunners did by not a single doubt, looks decent

Connections have just announced that Winx will be staying in Australia - there will be no overseas campaign for her.

    Great news.

what still gets me is that people think she is not a truly top class horse because of the opposition she runs against

winx never had a pacemaker, and runs consistent sectional times, with her closing 600 better than the G1 sprinters on the day

has never shirked a challenge - and as much as she gives me the shits and ruins every market she is the finest horse i've ever seen go around in the flesh

imagine putting her on a plane and she gets travel sickness and dies, you'd dead set top yourself

jameka never recovered from a trip to melbourne ffs

i know people look at black cav but it almost did her in too - choisir was a deadset freak and tougher than old boots

D'Argento confirmed for the Doncaster, with Corey Brown riding at 49kg.

Some quality horses in it. Should be a good race.

Highland Reel would be my choice.
