not really, was in the red group, so only behind the elites, still crapload of people to get round though.

lost time when i slowed up for my mates to tell them that i was pushing on (after i'd accidentally put 20m on them when dodging around people), then lost a bit of time making sure i high-5'd a few groups of kids. lost at least 10 seconds waiting for one of them to turn around for the high-5.

really enjoyed the run. was actually going for under 65, so can't really complain.

If people are looking to map runs, or even rides, prior to heading out, I found a really handy app during the week.

FOOTPATH uses google maps and you can draw on the screen where you want to go. It then locks the course to the bike path/road/dirt track and measures the distance. It also measure elevation for hill climbs.

    Very simple and free.

No mate. I'm doing the Fernleigh 15 however. I've really stopped running since little JP came along last year and we've been renovating. Only now am I starting to get back into it.

I assume you are coming up?

Great time on the Fernleigh 15 today belchardo. Well done.

It was a great day for running. The overcast, cooler conditions made it really pleasant.

I managed the 15km in 1:19:09 which I am really happy with. I wanted to do under 1:30:00 and at a stretch 1:20:00, so yeah!

    thanks, you too.

I have a different opinion of the weather. I was dying from the humidity, and I've only stopped sweating just now!

Anyone doing TNF, 50 or 100, in May? I'm signed up for the 50 but haven't ever done more than a 28km trail run (hate road running).

Keen to know what distances others are reaching in their training at this stage. I'm barely cracking 20 but there're 4½ months to go.

I think a marathon would be tougher mentally (seriously).

I know you're all dying to know how I went, so here it is - 4:05:15. Think I'm done with the canberra marathon, it's too bloody hilly. Basically climb for 2km at 30km in, then rolling hills from there to the finish. Will find a flatter course and see if I can break 4 hours.
