Holy shit.....Tara tonight mmmmmmm
The positive about Mel leaving is we now have this gorgeous replacement and can still catch Mel elsewhere.
Adelaide 2-0 at HT. Carrusca scored one and assisted the second.
This result so far really pushes the top 5 away from us. If Wellington get a result too that's 6 points we are behind 6th place if we lose.
This weekends game is taking on a much greater importance.
we're already not gonna make the 6. Wellington are in top form and the others aren't likely to drop out either
But but but but Bridgey said we just need to not lose and we will make it.
Watching Adelaide completely destroy the Gypos last night takes a lot of the pain away from how poor the Jets are. The two nil scoreline doesn't really indicate just how much of a beating the Gypos received.
And seeing what Adelaide have become gives me at least a glimmer of hope that with a change of coach and few squad changes it is possible to transform a club from shit to an elite level in a very short span of time.
Bridges, Zane, and Deans could never in a billion years do what Gombau has.
Gombau is only 37 years old and already has over twenty years experience as a coach / manager. That's more than Deans, Zane, and Bridges combined.
In addition, he's already won leagues and cups as well as having held a position coaching the Barcelona youth team.
Clayton Zane has won absolutely no silverware as a coach nor has Deans or Bridges.
Zane was given a team of W-League superstars and he failed to get them into the finals let alone win anything. He then had a stab at the NYL team and came up short when compared to what Pappas achieved in a short space of time.
I have nothing against Clayton Zane. From what I've seen he's a very personable type of bloke and appears to treat players with a lot more respect than GVE ever did. But he's not ready to coach at this level and may never be.
This isn't a 12 week trial it's 12 weeks of bullshit that can only end in failure.
at least he doesn't make you feel like spitting on him when he talks
like our managers do
What!? No Nick Carle or Matt Thompson for Sydney tonight!? I couldn't have picked that to happen
