Reports Tommy Oar released by his club and will likely sign with the Gypos. So that seems like he its a no go for us.
On a side note, Gypos also chasing Ross McCormack.

McCormack got 14 goals in around 17 games. That's more than ok

City had significantly better players servicing him too. He'd be lucky to get 4 goals at the scum.

The fact that Roy is scoring loads in pre season makes his suspension hurt even more

His highlights remind me of what Vargas looked like. Not a well known big name but a very talented player

Had an up and down career but has proven goal scoring ability in a superior league. Appears a very direct player which is what we have missed most since nabbout left.

Him playing as good as nabbout last season is almost a must. Ever since he left we just haven’t quiet looked the same, this is a hugely important signing and having a Mitch Austin play out of his skin with the kid from Avondale hopefully being a good backup striker we could be looking good

Watched a 10 min clip on youtube of his time in Korea and he strikes the ball well with both feet. Some nice long range goals with both L and R

Does he use the Right bumper for his shots, or just drives them?

Hopefully a full season of Vargas will make a huge difference.

Watched him in ffa cup. Scored a nice goal. Big solid striker, decent hold up play, not overly slow

Seems like a solid signing considering we have occasionally thrown Lachy Jackson up top with the thing being that he's a tall target man, having someone fit that description who is actaully a striker seems good

    Why??

If we have no intention of being a long ball side why sign someone to play that way??

Seems like a waste of a squad spot when we would be better off signing someone who offers something to how we want to play ie speed for fast transition

As for throwing Jackson up front that is like sticking your pay packet on a hundred to one shot and thinking you have an idea about gambling when it comes up

It is basically surrendering and giving up if this is deemed a legitimate tactic for us
