Adamstown and Kahibah FC are staging a charity match in memory of Bob Mountford and all he has achieved for football in this region.
It will be on this Saturday, 20 September 2008 at Adamstown Oval with a reserve grade kicking off at 11.30am and first grade around 1pm. There’s also some 16 and 17’s matches on earlier so come down and see the young guns go around.
Grab some mates and family and head down for a look, buy some lunch, have a few drinks, see if you can win a raffle, cheer on your team and heckle your enemies for a good cause.
All proceeds from the day are being donated to cancer research charities so your support would be greatly appreciated.
Afterwards you can head across the road to the club for some extended celebrations and gloating if you wish.
It should be a good match up in first grade and for a great cause so put yourself out…I know Bob will be there and he’d like to see a big crowd roll up

Bottom placed Toronto have upset Edgeworth 3-0 at Lyall Peacock Oval, however it wasn’t enough to pull them off the foot of the ladder as West Wallsend also picked up maximum points at home to Lake Macquarie with a 2-1 victory.
At Darling Street, Azzurri returned to the top of the table after defeating Olympic 1-0 away from home in the top of the table clash, while Weston stretched their unbeaten run to 6 games after coming from 2-1 down to defeat South Cardiff 4-2 at Thomas & Coffey Park.
Valentine threw away a golden opportunity to get into the top four as they gave away two penalties which Broadmeadow converted to win the match 3-2.
