Great article. There's a lot of good data here, though I did want to let you know something - I am running Fedora with the up-to-date beta of Firefox, and the design of your blog is kind of funky for me. I can understand the articles, but the navigation doesn't function so good.

Oi aussies,

thank you very much for Donny aka MARADONNY de Groot!
Yesterday he played the last 45 minutes in his first game against NAC, in the quarterfinal of the dutch cup.

We are a second division club and played against NAC, they come from the 1st division. We defeated them on their own ground and we are now playing the semifinals against Ajax.

Donny scored 2 goals, in the 45 minutes he played and we won 1-2! 2 beautiful goals and he is already a hero in DEVENTER!!!

ok, this is hard for me to be say but....... The squadron (could we call our selves that this season)

I have been part of the squadron for the last 3 .5 years and it kills me to see the way it has fallen apart.... My kids have been there every home game and this season im sad to say they are not excited to be part of the squadron and neither am i.
ITS SERIOUSLY FLATTENING.....
I understand it takes alot to organize what the leaders of the squadron leaders do ( tim etc)
the leaders of the squadron, need to take a more relational approach to accept and bring people into the experience and culture of the squadron.
to my experience it feels like you need to be at uni / studying etc to feel like you are part of this group.
the squadron used to be a united group and new and experienced all the songs and enjoyed singing and being a part of it. however today there is a heaviness and it is an effort to get involved and some of the chants are just boring and aren't a part of the unifying and edifying experience of the squadron.
how we can make it better; I feel we should have a open handed approach and a welcoming approach where existing and new people feel a part of it from day one. lets build an attitude of a united and welcoming experience. lets encourage people to bring others and be a part of it, from families and kids and lets build it so that bay 2 and bay 1 are filled with like minded people and a spirit of unity permeates the squadron.!
I would encourage you to not give in to the need to participate in the boring and abusive chants of some of bay one. sure have some fun with the chants etc but we need to be positive and fun with our chants etc.
don't get me wrong I appreciate your efforts and your commitment etc, however we need to rediscover our first love of being a part of the squadron!
I have idea and thoughts on how we can achieve this, please don't hesitate to contact me to discuss this.
regards kelly
