We get to vote on player of the year.
I voted Griff, Kew and Taggz

Grimario

Beard
Kew
Taggart

Griff
Joel
Michael (edit: not Bridges)

Beard
Kew
Taggart

If people take these awards seriously and actually vote on the "Player of the Year" rather then their favourite then you can't go past these 3 that Grimario put forth.
Brillante has been our most consistent player all season (whether at CM or RB) and easily the most improved from last season.
Jaliens has been a rock at the back and our best defender
Taggart has led the way with the goals

Sorry lads but Griff shouldn't even get close to it, I just hope Bridges doesn't get it!

Beard
Kew
Taggart

+1. Doesn't appear to be any "weighting" to the votes, so it must be based on volume

Agreed, but everyone is entitled to vote how they see fit.

I wanted to put Mitchell in there, but you can't go past those 3 as per Grim for mine...

It appeared to let me vote for the whole squad, so I ticked everyone except birraz.

Actually I just voted Kew. He's been head and shoulders above all.

Also:
1. Taggz.
2. Beard.
3. (using new fangled advanced metrics for player efficiency per minute played) Neville.

serious though, just vote Griff. Hes the best.

These blokes not voting for the Griff :banghead:

Lets face it the Griff is the greatest player in the land. We were shit without him and now we actually do win the occasional game. We would never have beaten Phoenix last week if it wasn't for the Griff. The only thing that gives me any confidence in or chances this weekend is I know Birraz ain't playing and Griff is playing otherwise we might as well forfeit now

The turnaround in fortunes has all to do with the Griff.

Not voting for the Griff :ban:

Surely brilliante should now be known as "the player formerly known as the beard"

Quick bit of trivia for y'all, who is currently our equal 2nd highest goal scorer this season but whose appearances you can count on one hand?

Burns, Griff and Kew, all with 2?

Edit: And Goodwin

As always, MFKS proves himself to be an astute analyst of the game.
Griff has scored 2 goals in 5 appearances. This is almost spot on his A-League goal-scoring average.

Oh yeah, and Rocky is right too.

Joel definitely gets my vote, watching them play has suddenly become a pleasure again and something to look forward to on the weekends (something it hasn't been all season, or last for the most part). Others over the season have been face-savers for us when we were playing dire and headed for the spoon, but the return of Joel has given new hope we might just end the season on a high for a change...

We're voting for player of the "season" remember....not the last four weeks.

KEW - daylight second.

Definitely Kew, Taggz second.

Exactly, by Griff only being here for a bit he's the runaway leader. Everyone else went in to minus scores for their rubbish first half of the season.

Taggz for his 13 goals
Kew for his experience
Neville in pro-rata

Our season ONLY started the day Griff returned to Newy.

Without him we had no hope.

Now we do

So all votes should only be based on what has occurred from since the day Griff returned home from walking the earth curing disease

FFS this Griffo shit is getting real goddamn boring. For once, can we have a thread that doesn't turn into a Griff fapfest.

My head said Kew, Brillante & Taggz (and Biraz if he was phased tbh)

I realised none of them were locals (and therefore, I hate them), so voted Griff, Josh Mitchell & Regan

To be fair to Kew he's from a coal mining port city in holland* often dubbed, the newy of the Netherlands.

*i may or may not have made that up.
