carney absolutely sprayed him at weston for it.

Someone needs to sit him down and show him videos of Xabi Alonso, who he isn't, and Ben Kantarovski, who he is.

I think I need to talk with Phil Stubbins. If your team loses, blame the referee for killing the game. Don't go saying you were beaten by a better team.

That's what I do.
maybe treat the game like a competition match and not a friendly

Not going to lie, this is probably the worst sock on this forum, ever.

This is feeling like Inter and Real Madrid all over again...

As for Kanta

Besides misplacing passes to no one and on numerous times finding a teammate but with balls behind them and stunting attack far too often he also absolved himself of the reponsbility and passed the buck. By this I mean he when under little pressure from Perth intentionally chose to pass the ball to Kew Madaschi Galloway or Gallagher. None of these blokes were in any better position than he was and he dropped the ball on them to initiate the attack which lets face it ain't their strong point.

When under no pressure his pass should always be going FORWARD and to a bloke in a position to start something and has the ability to start something not back to our defenders.

Add in the MIRACLE PASSES attempted and the sloppy passing and considering he didn't control the midfield exactly what was he achieving for us??
Considering he doesn't have the physicality to dominate his positional play and distribution need to be spot on.

His distribution was poor and his positional play at times was lacking.

I get the feeling even when paartalu becomes available, we are not going to go for him if we get CeleskiJust so everyone knows and I'm not picking on you Joel it just your comment was the easiest to quote.

Paartalu is "available" to sign right now, but he is contracted to November so won't be able to play until January the transfer window.

Basically what I'm saying is anyone that thinks we're going to try to sign Paartalu in January can forget it because if that was the case we would be making moves to complete the signing beforehand. We offered good money to him and blind freddy can see his scum of the game I'm mean manager his holding tight until January at the chance of creating a better deal/percent for himself.

On a side note anyone know what happened to Garcia in America when he left he had the modest looks of a 30 something year old, last night he looked like he was about to go on a date with Joe Black.

Must have picked something up from ADP.

Bloke was rolling on the grass all night and at times where contact didn't exist

Bare this in mind with the performance, Vukovic saved Perth's ass on a few occassions, we were unlucky not to get at least a goal.

Hopefully with a change to a 4-4-2 diamond, with Griff and Jeronimo up front. Having all our players back (Carney, Flores, Neville, Hoole) should help us out as well, I would hope what we played isn't the intended starting XI. I personally thought Virgili was utterly useless, at no point did he offer anything to the game and I now fully understand the hate for him. Gallagher was also one of the worst, and clearly is way to inexperienced of a player to be in the starting XI. Goodwin, Gallaway and Kanta weren't far off those two from being the worst as well

Reality is that is probably 5 of our best XI

Griffo
Jaliens
Madeschi

Are certain starters.

Kanta is also as we have little other options now for his role

Geronimo also is unless this Ecudorians visa issue is sorted and we find out the blokes a gun.

So really that's 5 ALMOST CERTAIN starters.

Goodwin was aids but was being played in a position he wont be used in this season. He will be LB not LW.
Gallagher will be squad filler.
Pepper should play DM over Kanta until he gets his head together

Goodwin just is aids, how many times did he fail to deliver a cross, attempt after attempt after attempt, never should have been re-signed based on his form last year. I'd rather see Carney in left back. I really think its going to bite us not using a visa spot on a quality LB.

What irritates me is he is not quick.

Everytime he seems to pull a dribbling trick to wrong foot his opponent he seems to catch up anyway as Goodwin just doesn't have the speed to run away. He only seems to get away when he sucks the opponent in to diving in

Newcastle coach Phil Stubbins admits Perth Glory deserved their FFA Cup win over the Jets but says his side will improve.

The Glory secured a 2-0 away victory at Magic Park on Tuesday night courtesy of two goals from striker Andy Keogh.

The Irish forward finished off a Sidnei Sciola cross in the 20th minute and then added his second in the final minutes of the game after being set up by Mitch Nichols.

Perth goalkeeper Danny Vukovic denied Newcastle’s Joel Griffiths, Jeronimo Neumann and Jonny Steele with some good saves to keep the home side scoreless.

Stubbins told FourFourTwo he felt the result was a fair one.

“The game was probably a fair reflection of where both teams are at the moment, with us unfortunately conceding two slopping goals on the night,” Stubbin said.

“We were behind the polish of Perth at times, which you could put down to them having played more games against strong opposition to this point.

Yet after we changed it to a 4-4-2 shortly after they scored we did improve and managed to test their goalkeeper into making some sound saves.

“Our efforts physically were good but we have a long way to go yet and lots of players still to come in and help support our strong.

“It was a good effort from the boys in truth who will be better for the run and a great hit out with lots to gain for us.”

The Jets were without the likes of Mark Birighitti, Marcos Flores and Edson Montano.

Perth were also understrength with Michael Thwaite and Youssouf Hersi on All-Stars duty and Daniel De Silva lining up for the Young Socceroos.

Stubbins still does not know when Ecuadorian striker Edson Montano will arrive in Australia

“Montano has completed all designated immigration requirements so we are simply awaiting the stamp of approval,” he said.

“When? Not sure.”

Stubbins expects his team to improve as the pre-season continues and his players get more matches under their belts.

“I felt all the players gave it their all and want the boys to continue on in that vein,” he said.

“It wasn’t to be tonight but we have many absent players to come back and that can only help with the balance of the team and our efforts moving forward which is pleasing.

“We should continue to improve as the weeks go by.”
