Apparently Cardiff RSL supposedly showing it? But, if they can show it live, i'm assuming it is being streamed...

The whole south springvale press is amusing me. Saying the players have to work other
Jobs and train only twice a week.

Pretty sure all clubs in nnsw npl train 2 times and work other jobs :s

Not sure if they will be televising the game, according to FS they will have someone "stationed" at the game to bring the key highlights.

Tab has the Gunners 2.20 favourites. Question for forever red are the boys full strength?? , if so I will probably take full abuse of these quoted odds

Twice a week now, maybe 3 times in preseason.
Least Southy players won't have to take time off work, since they only play football.
Carn Southy!

South Springvale are a 3rd division team. Southy really shouldnt have any troubles getting past them regardless of the travel and all.

i daresay the 2 Victorian premier league teams said the exact same thing before playing springvale

its the beauty of the cup

Victorian 3rd division isn't any pub league. Ognenovski was playing 3rd division before he got picked up by Roar.
These blokes aren't mugs and how anyone believes this whole underdog garbage is beyond me. Quiet frankly Victorian 3rd division clubs should be beating clubs from little old Newcastle.

South Springvale also recently won their semi final in the Dockharty (sp) Cup so they are through to the final...

Hard to compare interstate. But when you hear things like "Only train twice a week", "all the players have full time jobs and play football on top of that" it gets a bit much.

Gazzard long throw gets the first goal for southy.
Southy lucky not to go down 2-1 after a shot hit crossbar.
Mitch Wallace hits a damn good goal just before half time.

Great spectacle for newcastle football

Stafford normally excellent at pens.
Tonight just couldn't get there. IMO NBN players normally go low. These were going high.

Good effort southy!
Unlucky, to drop the lead.
Another month of shit about south springvale :/

Sorry. I was basing my opinion on 4 years of seeing him play regularly. Not 5 pens with a dodgy angle. Hard to look agile when you are 6ft3

Stafford done a pretty good job in the penalty shoot out for the State Cup Final. His been one of the better Keepers in Newcastle for years at Penalties and once again Thomas has continued to talk out of his arse.

Stafford probs didn't make a effort :banghead:

It is never easy taking a penalty after playing 120mins of football.

It is never easy taking a penalty after playing 120mins of football.

As if kicking a ball past a keeper from 12 yards is hard when you have a whole goal to aim at.

It is a test of nerve and temperament and punishment for not winning the game in the 120mins you had to win it.

Absolutely love them.
