Hutcho’s a wanker.
Sasho was previously recognised as a girl’s name but is now clearly recognised as one for a boy.
If Fergie reckons Jordan Henderson has a weird gait when he runs, he clearly hasn’t watched Mitchell Duke in “full flight”.
Danny Vukovic needs to go to specsavers, because his Hi-Five’s are a bit off target.

Feel free to add more to the list

There has been some confusion regarding how to prepurchase Bay60 tickets via the Ticketmaster website.

Go to the event on the ticketmaster website or app, select SECTION: Category 2 Reserved Seating and TICKET: Home Supporters (adult/child/conc) to purchase your active support tickets prior to gameday.
OR
You can also go to the ticketing window at the Western Stand at Hunter Stadium to purchase your Bay60 tickets.

Remember if you are already an existing member, you can swap for a gameday Bay60 ticket by also visiting the ticketing window at the Western Stand. If you are a GA member, there will be a small upgrade fee.

BK's big, aimless hoofs are going to make Bosnar, Anderson & co look much better than they are.

I remember only once last week did he even attempt to put direction on a kick out of his hands, Jeronimo made a neat little right sided break in the first half before WSW scored - and BK miskicked it (it needed a flat, straight delivery whereas BK's was more of a traditional sky-high bomb that curled a bit - Biraz would have gotten it to Jeronimo easily imo), and it too went straight to NTS's head. The rest of his hoofs were just aimless, and the WSW centre backs made one routine defensive header after another.

Sorry Blind Freddy...

BK last week >>>>>>>> Birraz all season

Are you referring to BK's distribution vs Biraz's, and aiming that at me, or are you just talking in general and to the general public?

If the latter, what are your views on BK's distribution vs Biraz's? Before the game last week, GazFish claimed BK's was miles ahead of Biraz's. Which I argued against, and which I believe was proven in the game last week. Unless it was Stubbins demanding BK just do big aimless hoofs up the field (which could be a possibility - I don't know Stubbins' game plan in full) I have the belief that BK doesn't have as good distribution/skill/technique kicking it out of his hands as Biraz does.

Look, I just want the two keepers to be fairly compared to each other. I want the positives and negatives of both keepers to be fair game - not just the positives of one, and the negatives of the other.

And I believe that Biraz is a better distributor than BK - and feel that BK proved me right last week.

And I'm glad others are finally seeing the value of holding both keepers to the same standard.

My bad. You labelled biraz's distribution as a weakness and BK's distribution as a strength.

TBH, bay72 at parra is pretty shit to gauge much that's going on. I didn't know Flores had scored till they all ran and hugged him on the sideline. So it's hard to make a judgment, and it's one game so I'm not going to hang Jim out to dry on that. I've always thought his distribution to be pretty solid ver the years. he seems to communicate well when playing short, usually finds space, or a target with long clearances, long throws have usually found their man or created movement forward. One game, at parra from bay72 makes it's very hard for me to change this pov ATM. It's very hard to tel from there what movement he had from midfielders or front men, to give him something to aim at. Birraz on the other hand often sees the target, but misses it, either going too long, or falling short.

Both it must be said seem to have been following an instruction to to distribute wide, as both put balls into touch regularly. For both to do this, I can only imagine they're under instruction to find the wide blokes..... This seemed evident in the preseason games I caught glimpses too.

Yes pepper was great at taking an average touch if he was under minimal pressure then playing a ball sidewards or backwards, creating **** all; That's our prob.
Perpetual pressure on the back four who can't deal with it for 90 mins, often due to a lack of football brains. Can't believe coaches have come and gone yet players who can't control a football remain (Gallaway, Virgilli) **** the athletes off if they can't provide anything going forward. All the people that say they need a string of games to prove themselves can **** off too, they have had that many games to prove they can control a ball it's ****ing embarrassing. **** off.

Goals to Dario Vidosic and Iain Ramsay in either half secured the win in front of 14,868 fans, as the Reds defied a short turnaround from Wednesday night's AFC Asian Champions League quarter-final defeat to Bunyodkor in Uzbekistan.

Despite only arriving in Australia 10 days ago, former England international Heskey started the match and played 70 minutes.

And while he showed glimpses of his class, the 34-year-old appeared sluggish and in need of more match fitness as he struggled to make an impact.

The Jets finished with 10 men after goalkeeper Mark Birighitti was shown a red card midway through the second-half for using his hands outside the box to deny another Vidosic attempt.

Newcastle had been heavily favoured to get off to a winning start, with the Reds having only four days to recover from a gruelling trip covering more than 11,000km.

But the home side was off to the worst possible start when some sloppy defending allowed Adelaide to take the lead after just 59 seconds.

After some good lead-up work from Argentine import Jeronimo Nuemann, Vidosic shook off Jets defender Josh Mitchell with alarming ease and finished from close range.

The Jets enjoyed the better of possession and field position for much of the half as they chased an equaliser but lacked cohesion in the final third.

Heskey caused a few headaches for the Reds' defence but he drew his biggest cheer of the half for a late shot on goalkeeper Eugene Galekovic in the 40th minute.

The big striker's best opportunity to score came just after half-time but he produced a lethargic effort to barely get a header on Scott Neville's inviting cross.

The home side went down to 10 men in the 57th minute when referee Shaun Evans sent Birighitti off and Ben Kennedy took his place in between the sticks.

Heskey made way for James Virgili in the 70th minute and the substitute almost had an instant impact as he troubled Galekovic with a curling shot.

A fine Kennedy save kept the Jets' hopes alive but Adelaide secured the three competition points when Vidosic set up Ramsay for a simple tap-in in the 75th minute.

Lulz, what? Arm by his side or across his chest, I can't remember which, ball moved to arm, not arm to ball, 40m from goal, hardly *delibrately* denying a *goalscoring opportunity*

Compare that to Saba or Rubez this year, Muscat on Zahra, Vukobitch, I could go on.

Refresh your memory. Bloke comes out Jesus Christ-esque with arms wide open. To say this is a natural position, is plain stupid. If the ball hits the arm in this position, there's only one decision - hand ball.
the fact the bloke had a shot and there was nobody home, means its an obvious goal scoring opportunity.

Is anyone happy with the style of play that we play? It is fairly boring for most part. A lot of the problem is lack of options when on the ball. Moving off the ball is generally bad. When we get 4 or so more players forward they could not get in a straighter line across field if they tried.

It just looks really unimpressive and very defensive.

I'm gonna preface this with the fact that this was the first game this season I've been able to get to from shift work in Sydney.
Hoole was brilliant when he came on. Creative, quick and actually takes his man on which is 10 x more than everyone else.

Also, too many cunce wearing these Fluro boots. A coach once told me, if your gonna wear those boots make sure you play good and don't screw up, cause everyone knows it's you. All the shit touches blend together now and it's hard to criticise certain players.

Griff added a bit of pace too. Caravella preferred to u turn at every given opportunity.

First half we spent hoofing long ball to montano. Gallagher? didn't kick a ball more than 10 metres accurately.
Overall it was very slow, intensity was not there for majority of the game and players couldn't be assed.
Scum weren't any better though, so the point is probably fair/unlucky for us.

How's montano not celebrating with the active support. Thought that was a bit odd. Maybe a good reason, just odd that he celebrated 20 metres away from them. Maybe he dedicated it to his partner or something idk.
Overall, I'd rather go and watch state league live, at least there's some passion and intensity. Albeit a bit sloppier play, but at least they give 2 shits.

Pretty tepid and the lack of passion is evident, as is the lack of speed and strength on the ball. We really do look light years behind most other clubs and the wooden spoon is a certainty. Nobody got stuck into Hutcho today and he had the midfield to himself most of the time.

It seems to me that the lack of money has the club cutting corners and that is affecting performances both physically and mentally - we have serious troubles that the coach and the current crop of players cannot change.

parksey
30-11-2014, 10:32 PM
from what i gathered from that performance, us and the coast are the two worst teams in the comp at the moment but they still made us look like absolute amateurs.

their passing and off the ball movement is leagues beyond what our boys are dishing up, and to me that reeks of poor coaching on our side. the coast might not be a great side, but gee whiz they are a well-drilled football team and you can't say that about us at all.

i don't think it's worth it to even bother critiquing individual players when we as a side can't even hold the ball for 20 seconds consecutively.

having said that - hoole was a revelation when he came on.

We have seriously problems... no movement off the ball, Montano isolated in attack consistantly, midfield sitting way too deep allowing other team to control the game, our defence basically play inside our own penalty area, our defenders look shocking in one on one situations.... i could go on but i have to work!

Have been told by a reliable source, and im sure most already see it, Stubbins has no respect from the players and isnt very popular. He needs to go!

Yesterday was a timid performance. You couldn't tell that was a derby against our most detested rivals.

Montano is really starting to look good. He has some nice touches and decent pace but needs to learn when to move the ball along. He took his goal nicely. Along with Hoole, who offered more in his 24 minutes than Jeronimo, was the only positive for me.

8 games now without a clean sheet, one in the last 11.

We are getting over-run in midfield and our defence is sitting so far back. The ball movement is so so so slow and this is killing us. We actually look alright when the ball gets moved quickly.I can't pick what our "style" is but I don't think it is any different than what we have been trying and failing with for the last 5 or 6 years. Teams have worked us out, not that it's too hard.

We have a number of players off contract this year and next and I really don't know who should be retained, if any. We are again at a crossroads with the team and any positivity about a fresh start is being replaced by normal levels of despair.

you wonder why people bother

I have seriously been considering this. Why do I bother? The only answer I can come up with is:
- if people don't support the team in the lean times the club will fold; and
- if the Jets fold the place will be a Knights town again

anyone got another reason?

In the past, I just thought that if people could understand how to create a culture of success, then we could achieve it. But it just seems to me that professional football in Newcastle just attracts people who are happy to stay employed and accept mediocrity. It's the Newcastle curse from KB United onward. And it seems accepted by everyone from David Lowe to Ray Baartz.

You look at the guys who started the Minmi Rangers (the actual ones in 1884 not the so called "Rangers of 1884" who as far as I can see are the actual anti-thesis to the originals). All it took was a newspaper from Scotland telling them that Vale of Leven withdrew from the Scottish Cup final for them to turn the joking of "Minmi would have rushed at the chance", to forming a club and posting notices in the pubs around Minmi for people to join. That's the spirit and initiative we should be drawing from, but it seems that everyone involved in and around the club is just happy to sit back and let things turn to shit.

I don't mind Carney playing on the right, he can be quite good for us out there. But surely at some stage in the match the manager would think to just switch flanks for a bit to shake things up. Carney on the right is always going to cut in and it works the first 1,2 maybe 3 times, but then the defender works it out. Why not change him to the left for a bit so he can get the ball and whip it in quickly (probably not be anyone in there anyway). We just seem to be happy not going anywhere, trying and failing at the same thing over and over.

If we are getting a coach that can talk the talk, let's get Craig Foster. Bloke thinks he can coach a team to beat the best teams in the world, constantly preaching the latest footballing philosophy. If he's half as good as he makes out, we will be premiers and champions of the a league and Asia by 2016. Get him in and we will be world beaters.
*removes sarcastic hat*
Or we could get a seasoned coach who has a proven record. Cut the dead wood that take their positions for granted and simply aren't up to it. Rebuild this club from the ground up. Unfortunately, I can't see much happening until we have a new owner.

Reality is he scored 60 od goals in 60 odd NPL and NYL games for the club.
These idiots can't get us winning games or making playoffs let alone getting the players to play their bullshit 4-3-3 system/style.

Matter of fact they are that ****ed they have NFI what they are talking about when it comes to the game. Some clown has swallowed a KNVB Manual and seems to think knowing a small part of it means them an expert and this is the only way to follow

The joke is really on them.

No I don't have to wonder.
The decisions made by those at the club and their success rate with there decisions are there for all to see

The decision these people came to about this kids talents/future at the club mean there opinion is most likely tainted with bullshit and plain wrong

Note to squadron, when the jets play at home, 90% of the time the wind blows nor east, one reason why no one ever hears you as your noise ends up at Eden oval, I had ear an ache from the mariners trumpet players and I was in opposite stand with the nor Easter in my face, maybe a move to the away bay would make sense

Must admit I loved the mariachi music.

You're more of a gypo than PV4.

First you want Bridgey in the worst form of his life to start and now you show a "love" for the scum's support (if you can call it that)

They had mango (?) smoothies for free at maccas one week if Heskey scored, not very appealing after a few mid strengths. Still collected after the big man got a tap in
