Run by dinosaurs. Have a look at their Facebook. Whenever someone questions the iron fist, dissension is smacked down with abuse from the page admin.

Worst sport (even though I played it for years).
Played by an overwhelming percentage of fat tubs of lard who stand there at 1st slip reciting lines from thier Max Walker 'all time sledges' book.
The same tubs of lard that give you the big ones as a send off when you get out caught on the fence for 150.
"DERRRRR YEAHHHHH YOURE SHIT DERRRR"
Umpiring your own games brings out an even worse side of humanity than the people who drown puppies.
Cricket would be a top game if cricketers didn't play it.
I wish this thread was as popular as the football threads

I played A2's in C&S cricket and the standard was piss weak.
The drinking on game day and the night before though were world class.

Well, if the banter on the field is anything to go by, banter on a forum would be pretty fun. Last year in my grade alone there were quite a few issues, that would have been nice to discuss with other members of the competition, and the local football forum is loved by all.
Im not sure how everyone else feels though

How long ago? theyve done away with A Reserve grades in the last few seasons, purely A Grade then B's now

Really? It has gone downhill....was a time when all the A Grade clubs had a strong AR side or two as well to fill gaps during the season.
At least with AR's we got to play on turf each week.
Played in B's with a home turf wicket, hardly lost a game cause everywhere else was synth/conc
those 1st few beers after a hot Sat were the best, rip

You dont really lose anything with no AR's the higher B Grades are just the old Reserve Grades now, i myself am playing B3's this year and i think 6/8 grounds in the comp are turf

maybe 25 years ago. At the time I was nowhere near good enough to play 4th grade in district - but slipped into A2's ok

How times change, according to player eligibility now, 1st and 2nd grade district players can play in A or B1 grade c and s if their club has teams that play in C and S. So by that theory 1st grade is equivalent to A grade, not my words but that's what the rules suggest ha
since when did we go into the traditional 3 weekend semis format? used to be 1v4 2v3 knockout
