The Jets are scoreless against Sydney FC in the last 4 meetings. The Jets haven’t scored from open play in 514 minutes because last 2 goals have come from the penalty spot.
The Jets last goal against Sydney was scored on 2/2/2013.
Marc Janko has the chance to equal the record of scoring in consecutive games. The record stands at 6 and is held by Besart Berisha.
The current available Jets squad has an A-League win percentage of 24% while in Jets colours.
Sydney has scored 19 goals in their last 5 games.
Last weekend was the second clean sheet the Jets have kept this season.
Sydney has never lost to the Jets when they have scored first.
The Jets have used 29 players this season.
Enver Alivodic is the 124th player to represent the Jets.
More than two thirds of the goals the Jets have conceded this season have come in the second half (27 of 40).
The last meeting between these two teams was the first clean sheet Ben Kennedy has kept against Sydney FC.
Taylor Regan and Edson Montano are both one booking away from an automatic 1 week suspension.
Ben Kantarovski will equal Adam D’Apuzzo’s record of 102 appearances for the club this weekend.
It is no longer mathematically possible for Newcastle, this season, to surpass their Season 4 points tally from 21 games. In Season 4 Newcastle earned 18 points from 21 matches, whereas this season we have 11 from 19.

You could move 5 houses and you won't go anywhere near the same amount of abuse I'm going to do to my body this weekend.
I have a great life and have given up plenty to support this team in the past. When they start performing like they deserve me, I'll go back to prioritising them.
Until then they are down the list, plenty more important things to do with my life.

So you think a bloke who shows very little attacking intent in his game plan plays very negatively and parks the bus in the hope of jagging a win is gonna suddenly play 2 strikers against a side who are good attacking wise and as a result have a wide open game from end to end??
Me thinks if Hoole is playing 9 Montano is on the bench or in the stands and we play 1 up front

Haha seriously chillax champ. I said it was interesting. As Hoole is clearly not a striker I am curious what the game plan will be. That's it.
Montano is soo static it mightn't be such a bad thing to have a mobile 9. It's not like Montano can find the back of the net anyway.

Lowey not holding back
Jeterpool I wrote recently that I thought the Jets would be doing cartwheels if they got to 18 or 19 points by seasons end, and I'll stick by that. I also said they would get their points in singles, and with eight games remaining, and the Jets currently sitting on 11 points there is some symmetry to my statement. They wont draw every game, they will lose a few, but they may also sneak a win before the season finishes. Pushed, I will predict they finish with 16 points, and as you point out, their previous lowest tally occurred in a 21-game season, so we can deduce that this is heading towards being the Jets worst season, by some margin.

I think I counted one roundabout all game.
He was dropping deeper, lots of off the ball movement and he could actually look forward and pass instead of shuffling around and passing backwards.
Gallagher though, smh. That pass to Leaky G towards the end... ****ing hell. How bad are you that you can't hit a guy standing by himself at **** all distance? And not just that, the decision making too... a lofted ball? FFS.

There were a few times when he received near the top of the box, should have gone straight and pulled the trigger like Shitney's midfielders but instead pushes it sideways and kills the momentum, but that's why he's only scored twice in 148 games. Yes he's busy but he does nothing for me in creating in the front third.

Should be a huge coordinated effort for next home game. A couple of hundred singing that would be great. A couple of thousand would be better!
Roundabout was good tonight. Our best I thought, although as Footyhead says he does need to pull the trigger.
Mullen was solid. Neville would be better if he went forward instead of sideways.
King Gee was good. Caught out on the back pass tho. Still, once SFC pressed up the field in the second half we were always going to be in trouble.
Kanta was solid. Put him next to Mullen
Gallagher. FMD he must have something incredible on Stubbins
Regan was ok while on
Enver was ok but lacks fitness. If it wasn't for Regan getting hurt I think Stubbins would have taken him off early in the second half. Ran out of puff
Hoole. His goal scoring rate is dismal. SFC are welcome to him next year. Drifts out of the game
Montano. HIT HIS FEET or don't bother. How hard can it be?
we don't look like scoring and SFC could have had 6 tonight. Jones has tightened up the defence but that won't matter if we cant score.

Bloke was down the tunnel just after FT and left his players out there. Everyone standing around pissed off. As the chance to give him a spraying had past. 4-5 mins later he comes out to do his interview. Walks past and I gave him a right spraying and pulled the banner out. Then he proceeded to smile and grin.
Few boys spotted him giving the presser and there must have barely been 100-200 in there and gave him a couple of rounds of chanting. With no one there it echoed fantastically as he walked over he again copped a rousing send off whilst he kept grinning and smiling like he was taking delight in it.

I've always been a fan. Rarely turns the ball over, and sure on occasions should play forward but would rather him play back and keep possession than turnover the ball 50% of the time like some of these other fvcks. Maybe get some more mobile players around him. Agree with the Gallagher criticism tho,he is slow with no passing range and how he gets a run before young cowburn and co is beyond me.

Anyone remember back in the days when we used to boo the opposition players like we gave a shit? And no one more than the Central Coast and Sydney.
Now I couldn't give two ****s about them, I think I hate our own players one thousand times more.
2 players out of 16 who actually came around to bay 60 last night, and the vast majority didn't acknowledge any of the crowd. foad.

i chuckled when i saw Arnie singing NTUA. i chuckled when Janko did his bowling celebration. i felt dirty both times and thought i should be swearing at the TV. :sigh:
honestly cannot wait for this season to be over.

What is sad is when the game progresses I am relieved when bad shit happens to us. I was feeling relief the second Janko scored cause there was no way we were winning the game then. Even in the last 10 when we are pushing I am hoping we score only to concede a couple of mins later to lose.
It is wrong that I am actually pleased when we lose and am looking forward to us doing so. Shows how ****ed we are when you can find satisfaction in the teams failures. Whats worse is that the club are showing me nothing to say they are gonna rectify it anytime soon and that's what hurts the most. We care the ****s in charge are not showing they do also

The Korean and Mitchy coops were the only ones who walked along the whole fence line
It's usually just reegz and coops
Still Boiling at the fact stubbins looked up smiling at us at the end of the game. How can you leave the field with security guards either side of you and feel as though the town is behind you.
If he had the decency to come over to the fans and apologize or maybe explain himself people might at least have some respect for the guy
I remember john aloisi one game after they got smashed when he was the coach of heart walking over to the fans booing him and they televised it, he stood on the fence line for a good 2-3 minutes talking to them. At the end there was no malice and the fans shook his hand. They might not have been happy but they respected the bloke

When he came out of the tunnel I looked up and noticed **** he is back and was a bit surprised so I gave him a spraying asking him where he has been. Looked a little startled that some one dared say something to him.
Then I called him a coward for leaving his players out there to face the fans and not doing it himself. Unfurled the banner and told him to sign his papers. He then turned and smiled at me. Seen red then and asked him what he was smiling about as he has nothing is 1 for 20 and reminded him we fans have nothing to smile about.
Seriously how big is his ego?? The arrogance to smile said it all to me. Its all about him.
I will be pissed if he comes over to the fence now and speaks to people. He has dug his own grave from his arrogance with the way he has treated Griff and co his existing players the ones he has released and the way he has treated the fans.
He had his chance to get our respect and has blown it big time

It's no wonder we are struggling to associate with the team.
All of Sydney's players went and celebrated with their fans, walked the touch line and got hugs from the away bay.
And two of our guys walked the touch line.
Mitchell Murphy, if you're reading this you spoke about wanting players with personal skills as well as other attributes. How can we expect to feel anything for those wearing those shirt when they can't even be arsed coming to see us after we've been cheering for them for 90 minutes? How does this motivate us to turn up week in week out?
Sure they're hurting after another loss, but most of them haven't been hee for the last five seasons, hurting each and every year as we watch abject football and then see a massive turn around of players the next year who offer us no more? In short, we've been hurting a hell of a lot longer than pretty much all of them, including the coach. The only ones who can say they're hurting like us are kanta, Kennedy, Regan and pepper. If they gave us, the crowd who show up every second week, rain hail or shine, to cheer them on any sort of respect then perhaps we could forgive losing a game.
There has been many good points raised above but overall if the club want the fans to get behind the team, as has been the call numerous times over the last few years, then the club need to start looking at themselves and making the players get behind the fans too.
We always cheer you on. The least you could do is acknowledge our unwavering, continued support

Only reason Tinkler supports Stubbins is cause the public hate him. Everyone show him da luv and watch Tinks give him the flick. This has always been the way this sick fvck conducts business.

Was a good performance last night from the lads, Sydney has 10X our budget. Things are looking a lot better now we have got rid of the dead wood, just need to bin Hoole and Montano and we'll be even better.

10x our budget.?? WTF
They have a marquee and the same salary cap as us.
We have squandered our resources we have at our disposal
If we spent less time wasting money on blokes like Bridges we would be in a better place

"Stubbins out we want stubbins out"........sounded superb during muppet's interview after the game they just showed on NBN news
And all the prick could do was smile and laugh
Kosmina on the post game show on Fox then said something in the order of : "Might be time for him to take responsibility"

You seem to respond with a remark about Bridgey with every response to me, nothing better I spose.
A very childish approach to how much Sydney really spend each year, but don't let facts get in the way of soapboxing..
Thirdly, you're a mullet.

If you look at coaching staff, back room staff, marquees and other non-playing roster expenditure, it would be pretty fair to say that their budget would be well in excess of ours.
10 times bigger may be a stretch. But their overall operational budget would dwarf ours.
You'd be kidding yourself if you don't think money spent behind the scenes impacts on the playing rosters ability to perform.

I thought Lundy was quite good when he came on. Just didn't get the ball enough, he was shouting to get it a few times when in a good position but was ignored
