Strange you should say that.
Last time I came home from Heart away the team was on the flight with me at 8pm that night after the game.
Stubbins was a notable absentee.
I assumed he had ****ed off to Adelaide to get his leg over

Going down at 8:20am Saturday
Come back 11:45am Sunday
Looking at going to some local football on the Saturday to kill time.
FFA Cup is on with a pile of 2pm kick offs across town which would be a cheaper day than spending it in the pub/casino

So are we and we are doing the mcg tour when we get there and then might head over to the ffa cup
Make sure you also check out the Sports Museum there as well then. You get reduced rate with the tour.
Lot of interesting stuff in there. Big Issue is that GAYFL has far too big of an area in there. Compare it to the amount of space football gets just to see how unbalanced it is.
Hopefully the tour with the cricket WC on isn't scaled back with areas off limits.
I done it a few years ago on the morning after Australia played an ODI there the night before and we had some places we had to miss out on because of it
Chadandkira12

Yeah we are doing the museum as well and checked there's no cricket of afl on at all so should see the whole place

Poppa's career is following in GVE's path. Two fantastic seasons to start off his coaching career, followed by a terrible one. Back in 2008 GVE was touted as the pick of the young coaches plying their trade but as we all know his career has been downhill ever since. Will be interesting to see if Poppa can bounce back after this season.

Are owners allowed to bet against their own teams ? Because it's a guaranteed payout for one owner if he does so every week - and at a much batter rate than any bank is offering.
Moreover, if a club is tanking to not win every week by not picking its best available players - at what point do the FFA get involved and say enough is enough and start fining owners and coaches / managers ?

What are people's thoughts on Alivodic? I'm not impressed. Yes he's missing match fitness, but he has that running style and movement that looks so stiff, almost a little Jardel-esque. I hope he's not the solution....we need a bit of pace in the side to push teams back and bit and spread the room in the midfield.

We've conceded 4 or more goals for the 5th time this season. The worst season prior to this was Season 1 when 4+ were conceded on 3 occasions.

Compare him to Novillo who was also unheard of and I know which I would have preferred.

I'm starting to come around on Stubbins.
Good for the game imo.
Best part is that Kenny Lowe teaches a pretty similar style over there and no one bagged him whilst they were doing ok.

he didn't say that but he said a whole bunch of other completely outrageous bullshit

He did say it, in this quote from the article you posted.
"Stubbins said the club had no ill-feeling towards Jaliens, despite his surprise departure, but bemoaned his side's marking for the defender's goal, as he volleyed in a corner from seven yards."
:rof:Players are at the airport. Looking for the muppet
:rof:
If the plane crashes and we all die I want a statue for taking one for the town:rof:
No statue required
The plane never crashed
Seen Stubbins walking past and asked him when the moving forward bit would entail wins and performances
Just smiled at us like he did last week and kept walking to me raising my finger and saying one win you have got nothing
BK at fault big time for the 2nd goal. Did nothing to help Mullen then got done at near post.
Not good.
Don't go starting this shit again and derailing the thread
BK is never responsible for nothing and until BK fanbois have a go its a moot point

I don't mind him actually. Put a decent striker or 2 in the middle and he'd provide some decent service given the chance.

The players didn't come and thank their fans
:rof:
Couldn't even be arsed to clap from 50yards
How are these people professional sportsmen?
This is why I feel nothing for them and haven't for some time.

Didn't get to watch this game, except for updates via liveupdate.
I am not wasting my sunday watching it back, I will wait until the day prior to recording the jetstream.

Nah, the words "surprise departure" aren't part of Stubbins' quote. They were the authors words.

Author?? You trying to tell us Journo's lie??
Never
History will dictate that Stubbins said it.

Looked to me the author didn't try and attribute it to Stubbins.
Just looks like the author added his own bit of narration.

Just discussing this today.
I think it's an almost impossible gig to impress as a winger in this team. Very hard to judge
