Awesome stats Dave ... thanks for that.

I think the Average Home A-league crowd might take a hit this time round.

And not trying to be too negative but .. I think our best chance for our 300th goal might be an oggie.

First up would like to thank those fans who chose to brave the weather and lend a hand holding it up.

I won't name you as I have heard the club are desperately scrambling to find the person responsible so I will deal with whatever shit comes my way and keep you out of it.

Does say a lot though about those running the club too busy trying to find who is responsible for the banner and not the reasons why a banner like that is made or the message on it that they should be hearing loud and clear now.

Hunter403

So the club is happy to have positive banners but want to persecute people who disagree. The Hermit Kingdom has an outpost and its called Jets management.
The banner blocked no view, contained no foul language and was removed when asked by security to do so.
Freedom of speech still exists.

Great work member! I was speaking to a prominent journalist on the way out of the ground tonight and they said Murphy was there tonight and definitely took notice of it. Only thing is it needed to be a little bit lower but all good
Apparently the Jets don't think they'll lose many members for next season and if they do they'll come back eventually. He said if we keep voicing our opinions like today the club will have to take notice and the media will keep reporting about it.
Stubbins said in his presser that people have a right to an opinion but the club has a 'plan'

Several fans made their displeasure at Jets management known at the end of the halftime break, unveiling a banner which read: “Enough failure, lies and arrogance. 10,000 fans demand the Muppet gone”, presumably referring to coach Phil Stubbins.
It remained up for at least 10 minutes before security ordered it be taken down. http://www.foxsports.com.au/football/a-league/newcastle-jets-v-perth-glory-perth-end-horror-week-with-fighting-road-win-over-newcastle/story-e6frf4gl-1227293104448

Fans also vented their frustration with coach Phil Stubbins, holding up a banner which read 'Enough failure lies and arrogance 10,000 fans demand the muppet gone' at the start of the second half. http://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/article/2015/04/06/glory-puts-field-dramas-aside-dispatch-jets

One thing I liked about it was it could have 2 meanings

A dig at the FFA for not removing Tinkler

A dig at Tinkler for his continual backing of a bloke who is 2 from 24

In hindsight it didn't stand out that well at night time with those seats as a back drop. The red will be out next time!!! Need to stick to white or look for different colour plastic

Was done to put the emphasis on that part. Just wanted to see if we could get Muppet trending on Twitter :rof: Plus I have been dying to use that word in one of them as it does have a bit of meaning behind it

I basically started from end and worked back. Originally was just goons be 10000 fans demand the Muppet gone but I knocked that over quick and thought about adding to make it bigger.

Hard part with them is you can only fit 13-15 letters per banner so had to be subjective as to what you can put

Banner was great. Nice work Member.

What was better was all the jets fans on the eastern stand coming down to have a read, then clapping when we started packing it up (assuming it was for the banner & effort put in) :)

Looked great and hopefully got the message across, there certainly were Jets players that noticed it.

We played alright, pretty decent actually, would have been nice to have an experienced goal scorer hey Stubdick?

Nice banner MFJC, looked the goods even though fox tried their hardest not to let the camera linger they couldn't keep it out of shot. Good shots of it on herald page as well. Nice work.

Would be interested to hear what #str8shoota Murphdog thought? Whats the word Gaz?

just could not understand the lines that montano was running last night. every time I looked to where I expected him to be, he was in a completely different portion of the field. running beyond the back post when he should have been central, running inside the front post when he should have been angling in off the back post, deep when he should have been shallow, etc. etc.

has the grand muppet told him to run those lines, or his confidence that destroyed that he can't remember what he's supposed to do?

oh, and hoole is terrible in front of goal. his first effort should have gone in, but I can't blame him for the one that was blocked from in front. that was great defending.

how good was glory's second though? beautiful.

How sh*t was Regan's defending on that second goal? Didn't even try and stop him.

The club can't afford to ban the member or do anything stupid like that. Very shortly if they continue down the same path they will be relying on him to be the only fan to actually pay to turn up and watch stubbins crap.

It wasn't Regan's fault. The scorer was right next to Kanta who failed to go with him, leaving him free to receive the ball. Great finish, but if Kanta had done his job right he would have been all over him and scoring would have been far more difficult.

Always been a Kanta fan but he was dead set disinterested last night. Misdirected passing and lazy in defence. He is a bloke that did need to play elsewhere to get out of his comfort zone and improve. Probably too late for him now.

Don't know much about defending but should Mullen be getting dragged all the way to the left wing leaving a gaping hole in the backline in the first place?

Mullen looks like he does stuff but I think he's just faking it.

Kanta wasn't alone in being pretty ordinary. Mullen, Caravella and cowburn were also pretty ordinary most of the game a) positioning b) passing out of defence/deep midfield c) tracking their man and planning to intercept/ prevent forward movement.

I'm a kanta fanboy too but I agree he wasn't great last night but I think Mullen out did him for worst on field. Passing was horrible and he was caught ball watching for keogh goal.

Alivodic was best on ground easily but I'd like to see him every now and then hug the touch line. Width was lacking in general but especially on our right side because he always went inside looking for the ball which Perth picked up on and griffiths started cut him out more regularly as the game went on.

One huge positive out of the game was coopers combination work with those around him. He was responsible for many of our chances and I feel he is gonna become a lot more important to us next season than many of us think.

Can someone please give the ground announcer a lesson or two in pronunciation?

Most people are saying Radovan Pavicevic is pronounced Pa-vi-sev-ich which is wrong, but I can handle it.

But the ground announcer didn't even try with Marinkovic. His name is Nebojša Marinković - our ground announcer pronounced it "Neb Markovich". If you can't take the 5-10minutes out of your preparation to learn exactly how the opposition players names are pronounced, you're not doing your job mate. Wiki is fantastic with helping you pronounce "complicated" names. Also, just listen to Ned Zelic (Zelich FYI) or Mark Rudan commentate and they get all the names spot on. I hope Neh-boy-sah heard the commentator completely fxxx up his name, and I hope it made scoring that peachy goal all the more sweet for him.

I thought Cowburn did very well. Especially after not being impressed by him in the NPL, he's lifted his game for the A league matches.

Clearly been listening to Dumb Ronaldo of Adelaide commentate the Perth games at some point... he constantly calls him Markovich or Markinovic.

thought both were at fault
kanta was slow keeping up with the fresh player but regan only had to move right a metre or 2 to block the shot
perth players were throwing themselves in front of shots like their lives depended on it

One of the best home games of the year, no beer queues, Squadron should stay in the rafters (much louder), can't complain about any of the lads, everyone was fine against a top team. Good to see the big banner back, kudos to all involved. The member won't be too worried, I'm pretty sure he likes penis and prison food.

Of course they sounded louder. Roof and enclosed space amplifies noise. Not rocket science
