how good is it that Labi is back?
it's only just struck me and i am overjoyed
i'd probably say he sits in the rung just below the greats ronaldo, messi, neymar etc.
post your thoughts about labi in this thread

Should we run a pool on how many yellows he gets for removing his shirt? I say 6

there was one game i think vs Victory when they scored and all looked bleak and pretty much we ran the length of the park from the kickoff and Labi scored with a beautiful angled volley that no other retard in our team could even think of making but it probably wasn't vs Victory and prob wasn't Labi but anything good that happens to our team i just assume he's done it because he is the best.

It's funny how someone like Labi seems to resonate with many Jets supporters. Probably because he is a battler, from his origins as a refugee fleeing his homeland and battling to make a career out of playing football, to his whole style as a footballer, not the most naturally gifted footballer or blessed with speed but there is something about him that we love when he takes the field that you know he will give 100% for the team, for the club till he has run out of legs. You know he will have a go and if the opportunity arises for him to have a crack at goal he will oblige and not die wondering.

Labi is the only one in this current crop who doesn't have to prove he gets it.
The rest have to show something.
Labi is home!

That'd be a stretch - he only took his shirt off 5 times while playing for the Jets. No idea how many times for the Wanderers.
Upon reflection, we should all be ashamed at how long it took for this thread to get started.

Saw a few the Jets fellas out having a beer on Saturday night. Labi was keen to have a chat and a bit of banter some of the others didn't seem impressed though.

He played for a few different clubs, but i feel Newcastle is home as the best moments in his career happened right here in newy with Jets.
My favourite is the HAL season 1 GOAL OF THE YEAR and the celebration

Jets fans deserve to get saddled with that shitkhunt Ryan Griffiths now.
So happy I hate this club so much.

It's all but nailed on Labi will make his 100th appearance for the club. He will be the 7th player to break that barrier for the club. A rare good story in the last month or so of football. The top 10 Jets A-League appearances are:
Ben Kantarovski 139
Tarek Elrich 134
Matt Thompson 121
Ben Kennedy 114
Jobe Wheelhouse 106
Adam D'Apuzzo 102
Labinot Haliti 99
Ruben Zadkovich 97
Joel Griffiths 83
Nikolai Topor-Stanley 81

Back when the Squadron were in Bay 2 I remember him scoring, removing the shirt, putting it on the corner flag and waiving it about. Yellow card followed of course. Great scenes.

Me and the boys yelling at Labs to come to Fannys after the game. Labi smiled and gave us a big "i'll be there" thumbs up.
He most certainly came.

If you included Griffo's NSL appearances for the club it takes him to 128 appearances.

Also, he met you at Fannys....
Labi the only bloke who you had to count up his goals to know where he was at in relation to suspension for card accumulation
And he didn't give a **** about it either

He got stuck where he scored a 5 minute double in a match against the NZ Knights and was already on a booking...

I remember whe he came back from overseas for his second stint. Came on against Victory down there and scored almost immediately I think.

He did. Roudn 5 v Victory in season 09/10, came on with 26 minutes left and scored with 3 minutes left to salvage a draw.
