How good was that game, tore the newly crowned Premiers a new arsehole in the final round of the season playing sexy football. Probably most scintillating display ever from a Newcastle side since KB United first started in the NSL in '78. :thumbsup:

Look at the Shitney lineup! Fooked 'em big time. Biggest loss they ever had I think...well as far as nobody had ever put 5 past Sydney before that.
Lost 4-0 to Heidelberg in the 1980 final. The last Cookers gaffer played in that too lofl.

Bar the GF, the 4-0 vs Victory in season 2 was the best atmosphere at a Jets game I have ever witnessed

My best memories were of course the final, the roar semi and also the game knocking out terry butchers SFC.

No...Sydney semi with a full house. Griff goal..fight scenes..Con went off...Butcher with the poops, Brosque sent off, Nicky and Milton owning the Smurfs and Rubes had hair...great night.
