The FFA are trying to build interest in the comp and get more money for TV rights.
How the hell do you expect them to do that with putting the dross we serve up on TV??
As if Joe Public who has a little interest in the HAL is gonna be getting excited watching us play when every other team in the comp offers more in appeal???
Reality is no one wants to watch us.

So much to like about that game. We rode our luck at times and the first half could have been 3-3 by the time they went to the sheds.

I'm enjoying the meltdown on the Tards Forum. They are attributing the loss down to bad refereeing and goal keeper error.
Drawing a very long bow indeed. Too many lazy khunts in the midfield being caught out by Kanta and Poljak was what lost them the game.
Finkler is a deadest waste of space if he is forced to compete for the ball. Bloke has a heart the size of a pea.
With respect to big Milos I reckon he did a ton of work tonight and I am more than happy to give him time. The battle is getting into scoring positions and he's doing that with ease.
I will not be surprised when he scores a double or better in coming weeks.

Victory Foz is full of Lolz.
To me a massive change from last week was the 'out-ball' from defence into Leonardo. We couldn't get out last week but this week we had some sort of transition.. it made us look competent. When he does manage to beat the first man we were straight on the attack.
Poljak beside Kanta seems to work pretty well too. Poljak has the legs to get up and down, however he is either too scared to force the pass or he's been told to just give it one of the 3 attacking mids. (not a bad idea to be honest.)
Milosh the poor stupid a$$faced legend... haha. I guess i'd rather have a striker who is missing opportunities than a striker who doesn't get any chances. I can see him get a hat-trick at some point this season, if that first one goes in so does the second and third...
Also, i'm gonna claim that we have one of the best back-lines in the league this year. We don't seem to allow the ball into our 6 yard box much at all. 2 DMs is working great at making us hard to break down, and we don't anyone good enough to shield by themselves, so 2 DMs all season for me.

Not sure what the Jackson hate was about, bloke kept barbarouses quiet all night.
My only concern would be him over committing to a player who was a tad less predictable, as every time he tackled barbarouses, he picked his dominant foot and stepped in front of it... Someone who's willing to step off their weak foot and has a bit of pace will be his true test.

Obviously I wasn't at the same game
Yeah, I thought he was excellent. Cowburn was good but committed to the tackle and missed a few times. Jackson was more than happy to basically jockey back and nip the ball when Kosta inevitably ****ed up. The only times I remember him looking shaky is when we lost the ball fairly deep in our own midfield.

for a midfielder playing for the first time in defence, he was good enough for me.
I wouldn't write Milos off yet. Yeah he missed plenty of sitters but isn't it a positive he had plenty of sitters?
I'd be pissed working my ass off in mids for a front man to do that. not hitting the target is donkeys. not good enough on that aspect.
that intercept he took off Broxom was pretty classy. He did quite a job in other areas though

watching the replay our defensive style and going forward is much more organised compared to the last few yrs. yeah there were some lapses but big improvement even with a fairly new squad

he should have cost us one or two goals in the first half with his hesitancy. he dawdled on the ball too and looked like he was shitting himself. fair enough he's only young and would have been nervous, but he didn't have a good game at all. barbs skipped past him at will.
cowburn came on and showed him how it's done.
Seriously you are waching a different game. Jackson had Barborouses in his pocket all game. In the past 2 weeks Barborouses has been attacking at will and last night Jackson kept him quiet. Got round him once from memory. Not bad for a 20yr old in his 3rd A-League game coming back from a quad strain

Trifunovic, I'm hoping you lot are right when you're saying he'll come good (has been the case in the past with A-League strikers), but fmd he has been honking so far. Unfortunately his nearest replacement is miles away, so fingers crossed the foz is proved right once more.

It seems like a lot of things are coming together for us this season, we have two in form goalkeepers although I think Birraz should come back in the squad when he returns, a really good defensive line, which wasn't even at full strength considering lee is out. Poljak and kanta both do really well in the mid, kanta is looking better then ever and poljak is looking solid. Only thing is we need a better substitute or another guy to contend for a starting spot then cam watson. Carney and Enver are killing it down the wing, Leonardo is starting to settle and looking the goods, and hopefully milos starts to pull through and finish his chances cause he had at least three chances on the weekend he should've buried. Get an injury replacement for haliti, try and sign a mid-season mid if possible and everything will be looking good for is moving forward I reckon

I've noticed many jets fans simply never shake their bias against certain players. Hoffman and Kanta seem to cop it the most, even when they have a blinder. I personally prefer to keep an open mind

I've been open to having him back and would love to see him succeed, maybe I've paid more attention to his failures and sort comings the I have to the good work his done.
IMO him and Enver have turned over possession often and far to cheaply also in dangerous positions, I can't recall many occasions of Hoffman getting forward and providing an option in attack and he seems to want to force the impossible ball rather than play the simple options.

You could add BK too.
Hoff hasn't done too much wrong in our first 3 games and should have had a goal to his name too. I see a player who is 100% committed, Kanta too had one of his best games for a while yesterday and should start again next week in CM. So keep trolling away negative nobodies because it pretty much looks they will be mainstays of the side this season.

Worse than Ribiero? Are you taking the piss? I barely remember him even taking the field. Leonardo last night was fantastic - won a lot of free kicks that released pressure and gave the defenders a breather. Was always a step ahead of Trif with his thinking and passing and if those two can connect we've got a lot to look forward to. Leo knows how to hold the ball off opponents and then with a swift move get around them. He lost it a few times trying to take people on but if we want someone who always plays the safe backward option, we can just bring Caravella back.

From what I have seen of Leonardo, I think that once his fitness improves he will be huge for us. Did you notice how long it took MV to start knocking him down every time he got the ball? Ok, I know there were a few "milking" attempts, but it seems that he was a target. Give him a chance; we've been screaming out for a 10 and maybe, just maybe, we've found one.

i was sitting right in front of him for the first half and he was atrocious. barbarouses danced past him a few times, one time he stood and watched while barbarouses ran onto a loose ball, skipped past him and then got a a shot saved sharply by bk. then there was the time he lost barbs when they played a ball over the top; luckily boogard recovered to save the day.
got caught on the ball a few times trying to dribble out from defence. his passing was bad too, i think he kicked the ball straight out about 3 times.
didn't see much of him second half, and haven't watched the replay, so i'll concede that he may have improved in the second half.

Yeah I gotta say that I thought Jackson did pretty well (this is only going off the drunken haze of what I remember - perhaps re-watching the game in the sober light of day may tell a different story)..

Shut down there plays several times. Yes barbarouses went passed him but not with the ball!!
I think hes got real potential. Yes better option than carney at back as Carney needs to be further forward obviously!

I agree, for me it just shows how thin our squad is when one wingback is out (Leaky) and we can't find a replacement without ****ing the team, be it defensively (with Jackson there) or offensively (with Carney there)...
