Bit sad the youth of today don't know their history.

In all seriousness though, still have my Leicester scarf from that game, even got to stand on the hallowed turf of Filbert St the day after..
Have family living in Kirby Muxloe and were visiting them back in the day.. And yes, I went back there in a few years ago and there is definitely many a curry house in Leicester..
I'm no supporter of theirs.. I just think it is amazing to see a team doing so well, who normally, would have been stoked to avoid relegation or to even dream of being in the top half of the table..
Brilliant stuff.. I will bandwagon follow them though.. hahaha

Huge game for them tonight.
To me all the pressure is on the home team
Man City lose and it put Lester 6 points clear.
You would think the win would galvanise them to pull the Miracle off and take the trophy
All to gain and little too lose for them as far as I can see tonight.
Pressure is on the City players as a loss would severely sent them and the way they have played all season you would think they would struggle to over come the 6 point defecit

Filbert Street sounds much more historical than the plastic King Power Stadium.
Filbert St was an old school football ground
Their current ground is like nearly every other Lego stadium built in the last 20 years like at Derby Middlesboro Cardiff Southampton etc
Grounds built on the cheap from the same kit home style.
All the same just painted different
Interesting statistic:
Last season, no Premier League player managed to score ten or more goals and contribute ten or more assists. Eden Hazard came closest (14 goals, nine assists) and was named PFA Player of the Year. Mahrez currently has 15 goals and 11 assists.

Anyway, 7 point leads can evaporate rather quickly. Wouldn't be counting my chickens yet
Yeah but Lester have a pretty good run at it for the next few weeks
Southampton Home
Sunderland Away
West Ham Home
Swansea Home
4 games that ain't gonna be putting the frightners on them
Finish though is a bit of a worry with
Man U Away
Everton Home
Chelsea Away
So it is imperative they do well the next 4 weeks
5 wins from 7 and they are Champions
Spuds on the other hand
Have
Man U Home
Stoke Away
West Bromwich Home
Chelsea Away
Southampton Home
Newcastle Away
So can easily see them dropping some points
The 5 wins Lester need may not be required.
Win for Lester tonight and the pressure mounts on Spuds going into games with Man U who they traditionally struggle with and Stoke away is always a jaffa
fk off hampton keeper, your lucky prick
7 points up 6 games to go.
If they not win it will be a shock if they not win it

Yep they are in the driving seat 11 points behind with a game in hand scratchy form and 6 games to go
Wenger has everyone exactly where he wants them
Arsenal are relying on Spuds to implode, Leicester to implode biblically and them to actually win all their games.
Although any of the 3 are possibilities. The one I think is least likely is them winning gall their games 5 5 5

Changing your tune now, MFKS? I hope they can hang on, but I would like to be the first to say "I told you so"
They are still all good.. I'm not jumping ship just yet..
Am I the only one who thinks Vardy didn't dive? Am I looking at it wrong? It just looks like a clumsy leg entanglement?
Changing your tune now, MFKS? I hope they can hang on, but I would like to be the first to say "I told you so"
I still reckon they will win it.
Titles are never won without a but of controversy over coming the odds rising through a challenge etc
They had been on a pretty easy wicket the last few weeks. They hadn't been behind and had grabbed goals from somewhere and hrld on
The game V West Ham to be perfectly fair after Vardy got sent they were pretty comfortable until the ref gave the penalty.
It went from bad to worse with the better from Cresswell.
Somehow with 10 men they got a result out of the match by jagging a draw.
Missing Vardy is gonna hurt but at least Ranieri will have prior knowledge of his absence and can alter tactics to suit whoever he brings in to replace him
I still think even though Spuds are going well at the moment they will more than likely drop points before the season is out. It is Spuds after all
I think though on paper away V Man Utd and away V Chelsea historically are scary matches I think both teams are beatable at the moment. Lester have much more to play for than these clubs too so the focus motivation etc from them will be a lot higher than Chelsea Man Utd
They are still all good.. I'm not jumping ship just yet..
Am I the only one who thinks Vardy didn't dive? Am I looking at it wrong? It just looks like a clumsy leg entanglement?
How would you put it.
It was a dive
The bloke grabbed him before and that was a penalty there and then. Ref didn't give it. Then Vardy just got himself into position to get leg contact and tried milking it with an elaborate fall. If it was a little more subtle he probably sells it and wins the penalty.
Problem was he put a swan dive in
Should he have been sent Yes
The ref ruled no penalty so he had to go
Ref just wrong in that he should have given penalty for the arm grabbing
Also the penalty West Ham got was no more an elaborate divr. The bloke got shirt pulled and went down theatrically. Only difference between him and Vardy is the ref bought the penalty decision

He sprung off across the defender who was holding his line to initiate the tangling of legs. You could argue the holding of the arm was a foul but it would have been an incredibly soft penalty.

Also can't see Chelsea giving the title to Spurs......But in saying that Slater said last night Liverpool beat Blackburn last game in 95 and if ManU would have won their last game (played at the same time) they would have apparently won the title!!!....
Remember the games
Man U went 1-0 down at West Ham
Blackburn took a 1-0 lead at Liverpool
HT came and Liverpool levelled up the game at 1-1
Soon after Man U levelled it up at 1-1
Man U needed a goal to win it and bombarded the **** out of West Ham who somehow held on
Blackburn let in a goal in Injury time to slip 2-1
One second their fans were dying 1000 deaths then all of a sudden when word come through it FT at Upton Park they jumped into celebration mode
Rather bizarre seeing fans celebrate so boisterously seconds after converting a late goal
Not have anything like it if r last day drama until Aguero scored V QPR to win it for City a few years ago

EPL in ze pocket
Got the chance to win it on the weekend at ManUre
Now historically they have been strong but there is no reason why Lester can't win the game.
Man U are inconsistent and don't create a hell of a lot.Plus they probably out of UCL range unless City win the UCL
Add in that the Lester players know a win will do it I can see them being right up for it and pretty hard to best
Also have the luxury of having Spuds play Chelsea the next day so even if they lose at Man U the title could be theirs as Spuds no certainty to beat Chelsea anyway
Gonna be a biblical choke now to **** this up

Such an event that I kept the whole coverage, even though I have no interest in Citeh.
The build up, the drama, the finish and Bozza and Slater with dripping pussies at the end.
So if these blokes manage to pull it off it is safe to assume that it shows that anything is possible and we should expect minimum Top 4 from the Jets??
I thinking so
small proviso is that recruitment know how to pick a player. Our recruitment mongs have been the most incompetent twats in the universe.

cant wait for the open top bus parade.
ok, it might be a 3-0 loss but spurs have to win yet
The first 14 mins seen Man U just own Lester
They took the lead and deserved it.
It was surprising they didn't make it 2
Then from out of nowhere Lester equalise
Since then Lester have slowly getting more and more into the game whilst Man Ure flouder
Can see this being a belter of a second half with Lester getting the biscuits after some tweaks from Ranieri and some inspirational speech
Be even better if the winner comes in Fergie time

Be interesting to see if this is just an aberration or a sign that success can be achieved by smaller clubs.
I thinking the money in the EPL these days is that extreme then the smaller clubs can do a Lester again.
The big clubs will not go quietly into the night but I am expecting more of the smaller teams to get their moment in the sun than in the last 30 years
This new TV deal is gonna strengthen them even more as they will have adequate cash to put together a competent side to compete

Aberration or anomaly? I think you mean the latter
While aberration is a synonym for anomaly, usually it's used to describe a change being unwelcome.
As a lifelong Lester fan, I don't think this would suit you

Hey I not expecting Lester to win the EPL next season
I think the UCL campaign will cost them the title.
I sticking to that excuse now
I just wondering if Crystal Palace West Ham Arsenal Liverpool etc and those other little teams that no one thinks can win the league can emulate Lester and bring home the trophy

I do worry for them this season
The distraction of UCL plus everyone trying to beat the Champions and all that every week should see it as not a championship cakewalk like last season
Expecting them to win the title again in such a procession is optimistic
Still expect them to have it wrapped up by Easter though comfortably
