You have a disturbing imagination :rof:

I'd say perth slightly shaded us in the first half, and a couple of great saves by birra kept us in it, but we've had some good moments.

Cooper, nordstrand, leo, kitto looks like a reasonable front third.

It wasn't one of his better games but still better than most out on the pitch. Without Leo we have zero attack and I would extend his contract in a heart beat.

I mean who would even replace him? Cooper had cramps after 55mins and touching the ball all of 3 times up to then.

Nope, legit thought first one was from behind (or side if you want to be generous). Regardless of contact with the ball you can't do it. Clear pen.

2nd was for continuation of fouls inside the box before the ball was near him (as I said haven't had a good look at TV replay). Can only assume that's also why a 2nd yellow. As I said 2nd was easy to give, but first was stone cold.

hey man, if you guys are all out here unaware of the rules then what the **** you want from me?

OK I've just seen them both on tv. first one is a clean tackle, but its from behind.
now any refs/rules boffins out there want to clarify the tackle from behind rule? Because if you can't do it then its a pen. If you can do it then its not a pen. Ive aways been under the assumption that you cannot tackle someone from behind regardless of getting the ball or not. Prove me wrong and ill be the first to admit.

harsh red though as Kanta is right there when the tackle is made.

2nd was for a tug on his arm before the ball is played. Foul in the box, called by the linesman, so therefore a (soft) penalty. No more contact that you see on every corner in every game but for some reason its ok then. but under the letter of the law it was a foul in the box, so can see then decision.

yellow for that as foul committed before the goalscoring chance was available. yellow given, fair enough.

anyway feel free to convince me otherwise.

The first one was clean ball. Boogaard didn't make ANY contact with the player. To give a penalty was a disgraceful decision.

When all the foxtel commentators disagree with a penalty given against the jets you can be pretty certain it was a bad decision.

Anyway enough talk about the ref's decisions. I'm more annoyed how Miller left Leonardo on the last 20 minutes when his legs were clearly finished and the fact that we finished the game having only used one, YES ONE SUB FFS!!! Okay, Nobby is now the preferred #9 and I would say most supporters agree with this but why in the last 2 weeks would Trifunovic be left unused on the bench. Leonardo was finished by the 70th and Nobby wasn't too far behind. Take Leonardo off, bring Nobby back to #10 and put a hopefully fired-up Milos, with a point to prove at #9.
Instead we get another dose of these "mind-games" that Miller for some morbid reason seems to gain pleasure from; for much of the year it was Cooper and also to a lesser extent the likes of Pav and Lundy, now it seems Milos is the target.
He wants the players to show "desire and passion"....how about showing them some plain old "decency and respect"!

Squadronz were chanting at Covic about cheating on his missus and how he is a wanker. Covic returned serve with a groin grab and saying something along the lines of "how many championships have you won?".

I don't know, bantz are great and all but considering he was in goals for our most successful season ever (including that great day when Griff scored the winner in the GF) and the fact it was "Old Boys" day it seemed a little off to me.

Does miller even know he can use all 3 subs in a game ? He needs to realise subs can be used as a tactic and there just not there as injury replacements. We are 1 nil down with our leading goal scorer on the bench for the 2nd game in a row and he doesnt even look close to coming on. Surely it was worth a try to bring milos on ? Miller came out in the press saying he challenged the team to finish with 3 wins but did he give the team its best chance of getting a win in this game ? We did well to be level for so long in the game but as soon as perth scored miller should have been throwing everything at scoring a goal/goals. The fans will have more respect for a coach who does whatever he can to push for a result. He just doesnt seem to be very good at adapting his pre game plans to suit the game situation as it unfolds. Its bloody frustrating sitting there every week seeing it happen. If you cant bring milos on for the last 20 mins when u need a goal then when do u plan to bring him on ? Why have him on the bench if u arnt even going to use him ? Miller really needs to learn how to read the game situation better and not be afraid to try something when its needed. Hes very stuck in structures and set plans mode.

Certain sections. Not all of us. I would like to make that clear.
People chant what they want, but some of us do remember he was a great player for us. Others remember he left when we needed him the most.

It's called football. It's a game of opinions.

Yeah mate I said the same thing about a page back but everyone seems to be more concerned with discussing the Boogs tackle/send-off then discussing WTF wasn't fresh subs brought on in the last 10-15 minutes?

The only other sub that could of been made was trifunovic. No way Watson would of made any difference and there wasn't a need for Jackson at the time. Trifunovic on for kitto, Nobby or leonardo. As much as I didn't rate kitto's performance, Leonardo simply wasn't playing for the team and I would of dragged him instead. But in fairness to Miller, we are creating a heap more chances with the mobility that comes with leaving trifunovic out.

we have more chance of doing 100 keepy-uppies whilst inserting a keno pencil in ones knob then winning this...

Remind me to never play Keno with you at the tenzo..
