Bill Bailey always puts on a great show. I have seen maybe over one hundred comedians and i reckon the best i have ever seen is Ross Noble, closely followed by Ben Elton and then if you can count him as a comedian, Henry Rollins. Ross Noble is great because he just improvs the whole show and never misses a beat, Ben Elton writes very clever comedy and Henry Rollins spoke for i think about 2 hours without saying um or pausing at all. All three were extremely impressive in their own way. Billy Connolly was also very good but not as good as those three.

Pete are you seriously saying Ben Elton is better than Billy Connolly?

Although he doesn't tour anymore - see if you can get hold of some Frank Skinner vids. Not only does he love his football but he is one of the sharpest comedians I've come across and comes up with jokes from nowhere.

From his radio show....

Co-host - "Frank - did you see this story today about Robbie Williams...how in his heyday he used to have sex with groupies and shout out "Take That" while doing so !!

Frank - "Lucky he wasn't in Deep Purple !"

Or the famous "Scratching Fanny"...

vale: Smith & Jones

Tributes have been paid to comedian Mel Smith after his death at the age of 60, with his sidekick Griff Rhys Jones describing him as someone who "inspired love and utter loyalty".
The star of Alas Smith and Jones and Not the Nine O'Clock News had a heart attack at his home in northwest London on Friday.

I've only ever been to 3 comedy gigs (are they called gigs?) in my life. Jimmy Carr - ok, John Bishop - slightly better, and Jim Jefferies last Saturday night in Manchester - shat all over the first two from a great height.

Irish times - best review here lol

Every time I get a chance to listen to ABC Conversations with Richard Fidler, I still struggle to put his voice with that head.
I reckon his voice has changed since those DAAS hay days.

Gee, I wonder if this song will make a return on tour...

Anyone seen Dylan Moran live before?
I love Black Books and his cameos in movies but haven't really seen much of his standup stuff..
A mate just offered me a ticket to his show at the Civic Theatre on Friday night..
