The Squadron Football Supporters Club (FSC) Inc is pleased to announce that an Active Support Forum will be held for any interested Jets supporters to attend who are interested in helping influence the future direction of active support at Newcastle United Jets fixtures.
The Active Support Forum will be held on Sunday 1st May 2016 in the function room at the Lambton Bowling, Sports and Recreation Club at Karoola Rd, Lambton. The Forum will begin at 2pm sharp. All ages are welcome to attend, attendees under 18 only have to avoid approaching the bar areas.
If you are planning to attend, please RSVP via the Facebook Event link so we will have an idea of numbers https://www.facebook.com/events/1124570420927380/
Please also share the event via social media and invite any other Jets supporters you think might be interested to help spread the word.
We are keen to canvass as much feedback as possible from any and all supporters who genuinely have constructive suggestions and ideas to offer in order for active support for the Newcastle United Jets FC to move forward and grow into the future.
Active support also needs committed and creative people to be involved regularly to help with producing tifo (flags, banners and displays), gameday activities and fundraising initiatives. On a regular basis, new active supporters need to replace those who can longer be involved due to family, sporting or work commitments. For active support to continue in Newcastle, people who want to be involved need to put their hand up to join in, even if its only on a semi-regular basis. If you have ever wanted to be involved in active support but haven't had the chance, now is the time to come along, meet other active supporters, and share your point of view.
After the Forum has concluded, we invite everyone to hang around in the function room and watch the 2016 A-League Grand Final which kicks off at 4pm.

We look forward to seeing you at Lambton Bowlo.

I'll give a quick recap on things

First of all was probably about 20 in the room at lambton bowling clubs. Couple club reps, and mainly foz reps and active support members.

Felt being in a smaller scale then the meeting at Newcastle panthers was much more better. Opinions were more constructive and there was far less criticism of the squadron as a whole.

Important things brought up

.Keep the squadron as the name of the active support. I think this is critical. So much good history with the name.

.New home pub/gathering. Few places brought up including the sunnyside tavern, general roberts, duke & out of surprise magics home ground as they have a function centre there. Alot unfortunately will depend if venues want us.

.Keep a mix between the chants. I think this is very important considering the numbers we have currently. Down at the 2 central coast reactive style chants worked a treat.

.Southern end for active support next season. Seemed alot in this favour.

Cheers to bodi and furns running the show with the powerpoint display.
