Doesn't matter anymore - we'll have our 10 5pm home kickoffs, two games in Perth, two games in Wellington and one home game away from home.
Hopefully the away draw is a bit better for travel purposes this season.

I just want Sydney games on a Friday night so I can stay down there

We don't get night games. We don't get Friday games. Hope the draw surprises me but I'm not holding my breath

Perth away twice could be crucial. This needs to be the year we nick some points over there

We played Wello and Perth at home twice last year. Safe to assume it will reverse this year.

Which means two F3 derbys at home which will be good

Article in SMH this morning saying they're opening with a Sydney darby at ANZ with a crowd of 80K. Also states FFA will use more aggressive marketing to promote the season which they lacked last year. Only a good thing with the broadcast deal around the corner.

Genuine disgrace that almost half our home games are Sunday arvo, what we learnt from a few years back is our worst time slot for attendance, and not a single Sat night home game. I mean I know we're unappealing to Foxtel but not one solitary sat night home game?
Also round 13 away, smh. Over to you, jeterpool.
Fxxx this club.

Play our only home game vs Melb City at bloody Coffs Harbour. If as reported they sign a big name Marquee the club has just thrown money down the drain choosing that fixture.

Well I was close - no surprises.
13 home games/14 away games.
Two away each games at Perth and Wellington (why they can't alternate those two with a little work I dont know).
10 home games in the afternoon - two Friday night games and the other night game in Coffs (where it is possible Timmy might play).
Boxing Day game is a positive - rest is usual pander to the big teams crap. We have to simply start winning.

This is it, i don't blame FFA or Foxtel at all... why would you put the dire football we play on at prime time?
Until we prove we deserve to be prime time we won't get it. If we want a good TV deal, we aren't exactly going to bring in the numbers!

Draw positives -
* 3 of the first 4 matches are at home. We must take advantage of this as we did last year. The away match is against the Wanderers and we have performed well away from home against them in the past.
* We are in NSW for all of October.
* After our match away to Perth on December 10, we don't have to for 3 weeks (2/1/17 against Victory).
* We don't leave NSW for our last 3 matches.
Draw Negatives -
* We finish with two away matches but they are both in NSW.
* We are away to Wellington then away to City in the space of 5 days playing Saturday and Thursday (round 5-6).
* Two evening games and both are on a Friday night.
* We only play at Hunter Stadium once in January.
That's what I've picked out so far.
What a joke. 6 Sunday/Monday home games? Can stick their season tix.

Exactly, and those having a crack at the club about the playing times, as if we get any say in the matter. We get what Foxtel give us.

And this is the problem.
Big clubs, get big slots, more exposure, more money.
We get the shit slots, less exposure, less attendance (fkn hot), less money.
You create a divide within the league, top half, bottom half and it will never change.

We got a good deal a few years ago because we had Emile Heskey.
The seasons he was here we only had 8 afternoon home games.
First season he was gone (Stubbins era) we got 11.
So we can buy a big name marquee that demands we get prime time exposure, or we start to perform better to warrant the time slot.

You have to earn the big slots

The Monday game is Boxing Day, so I guess that's not too bad.
Sunday arvo games do suck though.

Perhaps the thought is people will be off over the school holidays and families can make a week out of it either side?

Great opportunity to have new year in Melbourne then see the Jets v Victory.....but the bloody game is in Geelong !
Can't win.
Perhaps the thought is people will be off over the school holidays and families can make a week out of it either side?
So the Jets are now bending over for North Coast Tourism??
The only people from Newy who will travel up to Coffs for this game are the same idiots who travel interstate to Sydney to watch the Jets anyway.
Your not gonna see the family with their dirt cheap membership who can't even be arseddoing going to Gosford loading the kids in the Commodore to pay high season accommodation costs to jaunt up the Pacific Highway for 4 hours just because the Jets are playing

Waa Waa Waa!
Lots of teams do it, it's not the end of the world. Deal with it and move on.
If people don't show up then they will lose money and therefore won't do it again. You win.
If people show up and they make money, they will do it again. Which would prove you wrong, therefore you will be ok with it.
If people don't show up and they don't make money but they do it again next year then there is a good chance they have an ulterior motive and then everything was for nothing and we all wasted our time here today. At which point "Fxxk this Club!"

So, Round 4 looks tasty.
Everyone take Monday 21 November off work.
Round 19 should get a big turn out if we aren't in the bottom 3 by that time.
25 of Feb will be a cracker
Then we have R25 at home, on a sat against Wankerers
Away to the scum the next sunday
And we all travel to Allianz Stadium the next Saturday to collect our trophy!
Year sorted.

TBH - would have made more sense to send the Boxing Day game up to Coffs. Could have handled watching cricket all day then the Jets on the box.
That Friday there will be people working funnily enough and it will be a big shopping day for families getting back to school stuff. I for one can't get up there so thats one family out.

Pretty much sums up the situation and the pro's and con's in a few sentences.
Will just add that it taking the game is all about the Jets "embracing" the mid-North coast so that they feel they are part of the club then what is the point of 1000's of Novocastrians (Jets Members) going up to Coffs for the game? Shouldn't it be all about the local Mid-North coast community getting behind the game and filling Coffs Stadium....otherwise what is the "real" purpose of this whole exercise?
