yep, will guarantee the Clarendon Hotel will show the game, also that they are a short stagger across the road from Civic Station

hell, they might even let us in and serve us more booze by that stage of the long, long day

last season several blokes actually brought their missus along - I may well do the same this time

Went for the first time last year, was bitterly disappointed (hurhurhur). Lines too long, expensive, ended up just getting on the cold grape juice (which was actually delicious).

after the $30 entry fee (which includes tokens for half a litre of beer), the beer thereaftert is cheaper ($10 / liter) for novel and less commercial beers, than it would at a typical pub for a schooner of new or carlton (~$5 / 0.425 L ~ $11.80 / L).

compares with a 6 pack of 330 mL beers for $20...

wow, i didn't think the lines were too long at all, nor did i find it overly expensive.

Fair call re price etc, maybe I didn't give it a fair shake of the sauce bottle.

I thought it was $50 entry? Warners at the Bay much better value as you get all the beer you want included for the entry price

$50 is for the two day pass. $30 for one day.

I guess that warners may be better value in terms of beer/$ but B&T offers alot more in terms of a quirky venue, easy public transport, unique beers (some brewers such as murrays and potters make special beers for the day, as well as the homebrew which is usually decent at worst and fantastic at best), as well as things other than drinking (music, information sessions etc.).

No reason not to go to both :D
