Without the benefit of hindsight, what do you all think is the worst decision in Jets history?

In terms of undoing everything from the rebuilding job of last year, plus the goodwill created with the new owner, and a disruption-free off/pre-season, Miller getting the punt in the larger context of everything else is up there for me.

A close second was re-signing GVE.

If it not this, punting Murphy.

Or to be honest, con not dipping in to the mango crate to keep the '08 squad together.
Losing so many of that team in one go ****ed us up so bad and we are still recovering.

Worst decision for me was letting Dura go.

However the worst publicity we got had to be when we had the famous 5 sacked.

To be fair, we were already at rock bottom by that point :rof:

Without a doubt signing the coaches son to a 3 year marquee contract without a medical.......by the length of the straight that's the worst imo

Worst decision ? To call themselves a football club and take our money every season without any hope of ever winning another grand final.
Signing bench players from other clubs to supposedly take the club to the next level.
Signing an average Adelaide Defender to a marquee value contract.
Signing players that are either injured or have substantial injury histories
Signing several coaches without A-league or better experience.
Signing GVE after he got the team he wanted then went on to win the wooden spoon.
Goalkeeping.
Strikers that can't score goals getting contract extensions. Strikers that do score being sacked.

.. and the list goes on.

The club is total shit and I only hang around for the giggles. And ya get plenty.

1. Letting an overwhelmed GM handle player transfers and losing our best crop of young players for no value.
2. Mid strength piss.
3. Venables.
4. Jason Cullina (lololololololololololo) still so great even after all these years.
5. Letting Stu go.
6. MFKS finding the politics thread.

I didn't put that down as I hope we can still sign him before the season starts.
Club has time to fix this.

Recall Middleby putting that forward early in his tenure, showed how clueless he was.
