Are you ****ing serious SB? Do you know how easily that could have been a broken leg? It was only for the fact santi was in mid air ready for the ridiculous challenge and his leg was already heading in that direction.
Adebaywhore's studs were knee height in the air squarely aimed at the players leg.

How can you defend this dick head money grubber? You should be condemning him for completely ruining your teams chances in the game.
Besides, you could also be taring shreds off Gallas who had one of the poorest games I've seen in a long time (which was lovely to watch). Not to mention how much you missed a player of modric's ilk.

fergie has come out with his usual "there's no value in the january market, we won't be signing anyone" which inevitably means they will be spending a minimum of 30million

demba ba reckons he wants to go to arsenal (and has a 8million pound buy-out clause) - can't see how this is what they need the most but doesn't seem the worst value for money when you put into perspective they spent double figures on squillaci, giroud & chamak

won't be surprised if liverpool throw ridiculous money at theo walcott - they love sinking huge coin into overrated english players

Vote to leave EU wins.

In 2-3 years or however long the process takes, it means EU players have to apply for work visas. Currently over 100 of the current EPL players wouldn't meet the requirements including players like Juan Mata, Schniederlin, Jesus Navas, Samir Nasri and a bunch of others who I am too lazy to research.
Nearly 400 players in SPL, EPL and Championship don't meet the criteria with another 100 EU players in lower leagues that don't.

Haha, I've missed this Stanny. You made my morning.

In Arsenals defence, pun intended, we have our FOUR senior centre backs injured. (Kos, Mustafi, BFG and Gabriel.)

If Liverpool sign Van Djik they will improve a fair bit but will miss Coutinho's magic in the front 3rd.

Conte is just forcing Chelsea to sign him 2-3 players. But they also have 3 or 4 attacking players injured as well.

Kos is rated by everyone involved with the EPL.

Chelsea don't exactly have a dearth of world class CBs themselves. Luiz can be great in occasion but is still a fart-brain player. Gary Cahill isn't better than Kos or Mustafi, not exactly worse but not better. Rudiger will need to find his feet. Conte knows how to defend and you guys aren't going to play like you did against Burnley again this year. But don't get too cocky just yet.

Also, Per Mertesacker is the GOAT! Just watch his highlights of last year, he pretty much won every single game that he played in....... 'giggle'... but seriously he is underrated as a game reading defender. He will be valuable this year.

Yeah look it's a loose term but I'm saying if you had to pick a 'team of the generation' (say 2000-present) how many English players even make the cut in the first 3 squads you pick?

Of course all those players you picked are good. But if you think John Terry is in the same conversation as Carnovaro, Zambrotta, Maldini, Pique etc then cool.

I don't.

And I'm a big Lampard fan, consider him light years better than Gerrard, but even old Frank can't hold a candle to Scholes.

and I never got the Ashley Cole love. Always looked great running in a straight line but not much else. GVE must have been so excited to see him play.

But hey a lot of the same people wouldn't even pick Dani Alves so it just shows you how many morons there really are in the world.

Oh and Steven Gerard is just a better version of Jonjo Shelvey but with more handsome hair there I said it.

The quality of Scholes can be seen that after Barca had taken down Man U 3-1 in the UCL Final this at the time Barca and Spain were nigh on invincible with the tikka takka around 2011 that at FT the Barca players were more interested in seeing who would be the lucky bloke swapping shirts with Scholes such was the esteem they held him in

In a side containing Iniesta Xavi Messi Villa and Biscuitsthey all wanted to get up close with Scholes

Coles is probally the only defender who got the better of C.Ronaldo nearly every game they played. Hence why towards the end of his United days he played on the left of their midfield. And ill give you Cannavaro and Madlini but Terry was better then Zambrotta and Pique by a mile. Terry's brillance wasnt just his defending and his body on the line style. He scored loads of goals for a CB and was one of the best at playing balls into space for Wingers on the other touchline and with both feet as well. Only thing Pique has over him IMO is pace which Terry never had

Can't class Pique as a top shelf defender when he isn't in a team that defends well and never has been

Of course Rooney is more versatile in that he has played in a number of roles during his career and Shearer just played as a Striker

Being that Rooney played at Man U for the bulk of his career he was more or less in successful sides fighting for trophies every year well at least to Fergie retired

Lol

Shearer on the other hand only spent limited time when Plastic Rovers and Newcastle we're at the top of the tree

If he had of went to Man U when he went to Plastic Rovers he would have had another 50-100 EPL goals to his name

Other thing to note forget with him is he done his ACL at about 23 so who knows how much that slowed him up in his prime of his career

Fat Ronaldo still win a WC but he was never the same player after he done his knees at Inter

The year he spent at Barca he was phenomenal

also an indicator of how difficult this is, Ronaldinho was pretty much untouchable as the biggest star in world football for a few years there and not many have him in their teams (he only made my 2nd XI and I'm a huge fanboy).

As with you I rated Fat Ronny no 1

When you look at a frontline with Griff Messi CR7 and Zidane there just ain't the room for Ronaldinho. Given time though I think Neymar Jr will actually surpass Ronaldinho by the time his career is done and dusted

I couldn't put Ibra in there despite having great love for the bloke such is the tightness for spots

Think he changed the game with his tricks. Certainly brought that freestyle component to the game. He was a magician with some of the stuff he could do. His highlights reel is definitely good viewing.

Not sure he has the in game impact as some of the above though. Definitely revolutionised the game though in my opinion in terms of skill moves to beat players.

My father said the best player he ever played against was Stanley Matthews. He said there was absolutely no way to telegraph his movement. I've talked to a few blokes over the years that played alongside Matthews as well and most of them think he's the best that ever played the game.

I always remember my Dad going on and on about how great Stanley Matthews was.. He's still a Stoke fan to this day because of him..
Your Dad played against him??

As a kid, I remember watching a lot of Ajax, I was a huge fan of van Basten, Bergkamp and Litmanen..

For sure. That's why I chose "talented" instead of "best". But even without the tricks and showboating, his awareness and touch are just unbelievable.

A lot of it is also dependent on how you watched your football when growing up. Most of us are EPL centric cause that's what we had.

I used to chase down anything I could see when Zidane and Fat Ronnie were playing.

I refuse to believe there has ever been a better pure striker than Fat Ronnie.

3 diff leagues, international level. Bloke dominated all of it.
Just loved watching him play.

At his peak I'd say Fat Ronnie is the best striker that ever put a boot on. People don't realise just how fast the bloke was - easily a sub even time sprinter.

I think he was also the first player I ever saw who had a real 'joy' for the game.

Bloke was always smiling and laughing, even when things didn't go well.

It was impossible to not enjoy watching him.

Bernabeau gave him a standing O after he ripped them a new ass one time. I just remember seeing it going "holy **** football doesn't have to be all miserable and well 'ard".

(Again this was from watching too much EPL god damn it Roy Keane you miserable ****ing prick).

I swear to Griff seeing blokes like Ronnie embrace the amazing opportunities they had changed my perception on a lot of things in my life.

Yes played against him in 1958 when Matthews was old and well past his best. I can't remember though if the old boy was playing for NSW or St George Budapest at the time. Tommy Garret was also playing at the time [ former Blackpool / England player] - oldman and Tommy played each other again many years later - only in Billiards not football. Tommy won both times.... easily.
I'm guessing people here would know who Tommy Garret was ? He retired from professional football in the early 60's and played in Newcastle I think for Mayfield FC.

The dumb **** at the Socceroos trying to start a Your Not Going to Russia Anymore chant in the 113th minute at 2-1 up

Or

Jets fans singing we are top of the league at 3-1 up on the Gypo Coast with ample time for us to **** it up

Or

That Klopp is absolutely perplexed and surprised that Mourinhio can park the bus

I think Klopp really is the dumbest

De Gea is probably the most valuable player in the league.
I think he does more for United than any other player in the league does for their team.

Over the years he has made some incredible saves and important saves too that keep points in their pocket.

And how does Lukaku not get a yellow for kicking the legs out from Gomez.
Mourinho is killing this derby.

Not so much a result issue. Just general viewing reasons.
Probably been since SAF left. Just lacks the punch it once had.
Watching Mourinho Park the bus isn’t really that entertaining.

From a Liverpool perspective. Fair play. He wanted a point and got a point. We can’t break them down well enough.

You haven't beaten them in 3-4 years not since Suarez played for you

Maybe if the recent results weren't so one sided against you your perspective might change

I don't think the F3 derby has lost its zing just because until the last 2 years we been inept in it for a few years

It is just waiting for some **** to reignite it.

Just as it is waiting for some Scouser to actually do something of note to get them the win.

Obligatory 'Yeah the Mooys'!

Mata looked very off. He and Herrara made Pogba look like a half decent footballer, they have struggled to find balance without him for the last few weeks.

Lindelof looks like another Mourinho special. Looks devoid of confidence when he comes on and will go on to become a great player under any other coach.

West Ham look as bad if not worse than Sunderland last year. They need to kick about 6 or 7 players out of the team and get ready for the championship next year. Absolutely terrible without the ball and stupid when they actually have it at their feet.

Then they put Moyes in charge who has lost all confidence in his ability since walking out onto Old Trafford. You couldn't write the stupidity from Gold and Sullivan on that decision.

Although I hate the big 6, I do credit that Liverpool have always won things (at least until the end of the 20th century!)

Chelsea are "Johnny come latelys" who only got anywhere when a loony, rich Russian wanted a new toy.

The real Chelsea died when they demolished The Shed and Ron Harris (inventor of the squirrel grip) retired in 1980.

We were starting to do great things in the 90s and you cant really compare the errors of football. Chopper was incredible but you got away with alot of stuff on the pitch back then you wouldnt get away with now
