But without proper quality to supply our strikers doesnt matter who we sign up front they wont score many. The problem for years has been getting the ball from defense to midfield without playing it long. Our midfield is way too static and never moves around looking for space to receive the ball so our defense is forced to kick it long. We had this problem under GVE,Zane,Stubbins,Miller (thought it got a tiny bit better when Stevie U came and was actually on form) and lastly with Jones.

Does that come down to the quality of cattle being confident in playing out or comes down to coaches tactics? Being realistic jones will have the pre season and heavy targets to meet, lee will open the strings, get a Castro type feeding, burns, Scotty mac quality and I'm not sure the long balls will be heard of. The squad needs 5-6 quality starters and let's hope Martin see's that too
