So why does Jamie Young not get booked for that penalty by Martinez??

Ball is in the spot player ready to take and the goal keeper ****s off from his spot and delays the game

Why the **** is he not booked when Janjetovic got a yellow in ET for taking 10seconds too long for a Free Kick

One of those teams was always going to turn it on, and one team wasn't going to turn up.
Both teams can score 5 if they are firing.
Both teams can concede 5 if they aren't.

City were crap. Perth came out fast and won the game in 30 minutes.

Perth didn't do that much at the back as Heart offered very little

Perth also offered very little going forward after the two goals.

Not that it mattered

Perth going to have to raise several notches to trouble Smurfs next week based on last night's effort

Yes. I am speculating but I'm basing it on the average home crowd we've had for finals, which is just a touch over 18400.

their owners might be able to rent some next season, they seem prepared to throw good money after bad at them with no reward, at least renting the crowd should cost them less than dodgy loan deals to get them players like McLaren etc...

Meh. VAR didn't win the game for Sydney.

Nobody is saying that...Sydney would have won anyway, but the first decision with the ref referring it NRL style when I thought it was meant to be done behind the scenes, the wait, the confusion, the bad taste it left, the smarminess of Bozza who first pushed for it a year ago......I turned the game off in disgust. It has ruined cricket and NRL and it will do the same to our game.

The system is not foolproof and that first decision proves it....saw a twitter poll where 82% believed it should have been disallowed.

We also had a situation like this last night as well. Where the SFC dip shit whose name I don't care to know faked having his face slammed into the goal post by Reddy.

The SFC player went to ground clutching his face in a manner that even a 3 year old girl would consider soft.

The referee should have gone to the replay - seen his head didn't hit the post and then awarded him a red card for trying to have Reddy sent off.

Personally, I'd keep the VAR and just get rid of the A-league.

The passive offside rules are a complete joke - and the result of having far too many ex strikers calling the shots at FIFA over the years.
It doesn't matter if if the Defender would have made it across or not. An offside player blocked his progress - end of story. No goal.

so true, I thought at the 2014 World Cup he was way out of his depth & he'd be back in the a league before to long & now he's struggling at a league level.

every challenge he was muscled off the ball.

Rojas v Zullo and Kahlfallah v Grant is going to be where Victory have the chance to win it. Troisi also needs to have a great game because I thought he's been off in recent weeks.

I think this has a Sydney 2-1 win all over it. Sydne's defense is what will win it for them. Ibini missing (I assume) will be massive for them - he offers a lot off the bench.

When he came on to the scene as an 18year old he was the real deal

Good left peg and give him the ball and all he wanted to do was run past his man and whip crosses in

Exactly what you want in a left winger.

Ever since he made his debut for the Socceroos it has been all down hill

Verbeek refused to select him and then he has had everything that made him promising coached out of him by the Dutch Mango sucking brigade

I remember him playing in the Roar youth team and he used to absolutely rip it apart. But I think he may have suffered from being a very talented junior whereby natual ability can take you all the way. As a senior you need to also have a work ethic, a brain, and a winning mentality.
