OK, so we have put a request to the club to have an interview with Lawrie McKinna similar to that held at the beginning of the season. The club and Lawrie have made time for us to speak on May 5th.
As per previous interviews, we will table questions to Lawrie posed by people on here. As always, questions will be moderated by us for language and clear trolling so be respectful in what you ask. Lawrie has always been willing to speak with us and both he and the club have supported the podcast having access.
Questions will close Wednesday 3rd May to allow us time to review the questions, group themes and construct the flow of the interview.
Finally, please post all questions in this thread.

Lawrie agreed that the Jets would buy some however We were asked to source them and find around 200 buyers so something.
Has someone found a supplier? Have we got 200 committed buyers?

I'd like him to clarify our Visa spot situation. Now that we have both a Chinese and Chilean partnership are 2/5 spots going to these every year? are we looking at OS marquees etc soo that we are not bound by these countries? That puts added stress on getting the other 3 spots exactly right.

Has he got a genuine scouting network.. Or will they invest in one? Will they be using all the salary cap concessions available to them? They certainly need to as we are pathetic

Adding to this, are we looking at overseas based Australian players struggling for game time or out of contract? Burns and Milligan have both spent time at the Jets and fit the above criteria. I'm sure there are plenty of others I'm missing

Jeterpool can you ask Lawrie if there has been any further discussion with TransGrid about relocating Jets admin staff into their building beside Ray Watt Oval. This was rumored some months ago (with TransGrid staff receiving internal emails indicating that discussions were being held).
And will the Jets build a shade cover for those that #FilltheHill during training.

given the damage to the Jets 'brand' done by nearly a decade of poor management and results, where the team and club lurched from one disaster to another, does Lawrie think it's worth re-branding the team to something other than the Jets? or changing away from Knight's colours?

With BLK now bust and discussions mentioned last year a number of brands were being considered, who will the Jets be securing as the kit supplier?

With the prices for the friendly priced between $30 and $40, how long before they are reasonably priced?
Alternatively, how are the sales going and what sort of lineup will Audax be bringing?

how do you like your snails?... deep fried in a mars bar?
Many would say that the stability in the coaching department is a key component to onfield success
Since the Gypo CEO and the Chinese Lightsalesman have arrived we now gone through 2 and leading on to 3 soon.
Being the decision was made to appoint Jones on your watch . Why were the pair of you unwilling to offer him adequate support??
By my calculations Jones was offered a pretty poor squad
He was given SA NPL level players as recruitment options
He was also given a pretty inexperienced coaching department around him
Now considering the pretty shit cards the bloke was dealt by the club why was no patience and loyalty to stand by your man that YOU gave a 2 year deal to??
The club has a shitful run the last 6-8 weeks of the season and based on that implosion you decided to blow everything up and start again instead of having the courage to back the coach

You personally ask me in January to give the Jets (you) a chance, then asked on NBN last month to give the Jets (you) a chance ..... how many more chances should we give you?

Better still - at the forum last year we were told that the fans would get to choose colours for the club, but not for last season due to orders already committed. Majority that night wanted gold and E&C alternate. What is happening here?

Well done for sacking jones. A dud at best...
Is Merrick going to get a vastly improved squad?
Will you step down after you fail next year?
Can we give mfks concrete shoes?

Two days before we chat with Lawrie, everyone. PLease send your questions in.
We have questions running on a few social pipes, but we have questions covering the following additional topics:
* Kit manufacturers - who will be the new kit supplier
* Communicty engagemetn
* Recruitment of players
* Goals for the next season
When will we see a return to emerald & cinnamon for our playing strips? Remind him that 76% of the members base voted for e&c when asked for input.
Is there plans to seek input from fans, whether it be design a jersey competition, or voting for jersey choice? Or will kit designs continue to be left solely to the club, and fans have no input whatsoever?
Whom will be our kit supplier next season?
To add to up the top about scouting.. what is our current scouting networks we utilise in the club? Is the days of agents dropping DVDs on the desk gone, or do we still use that? Do the club pay people to scout players around the globe, and if so do said scouts do it from Australia, watching on TV, or do they go to games abroad and watch players first-hand at games and trainings?

Have you got specific details on this poll so we can take it along as evidence? Was this the vote for the away jersey design one season - a decision between Black & White, Emerald & Cinnamon and plain White?

with an overwhelming majority of 76 percent picking the City of Newcastle’s official colours
I can't work out any decent reason why the club wouldn't want to keep more than 3/4 of its fans happy tbh.

I was there and the FFA media manager said we would get a vote.
Unfortunatly the current administration are dealing with the promises of the previous. We will ask it to try and clarify the situation. I think the best outcome would be the club do another poll for members and fans to establish if there is an overall push from the public.
Now is the time to strike because as it stands, no new supplier has been announced so it is reasonable to assume a contract hasn't been agreed, let alone designs.

after a conversation I had a while back I think we may need to push for the Emerald/Cinnamon a bit harder with Lawrie & co - was suggested to me by a third party involved with the club that Jets were keeping Red/Blue theme with Gold as the away preference, no mention at all of E/C, not on their radar it would seem, also they were looking for a strip provider that allows input into design (so Puma apparently not a candidate, thankfully... BLK also apparently off the table due to limitations of what they would offer re merchandise, 'beyond limits known' debunked it would appear...)

Puma do great kits, but template kits. If the club want something with their own input, they'll have no luck with Puma. Cue old m8 whom is agent to every man and his dog in Newy and makes a big point of being mentioned a lot in The Herald (http://bit.ly/4kb77v):

Personally would love to see Umbro, have always been a huge fan of Umbro kits globally. Has any AL team done Umbro yet? Can't even think atm..
BLK went bankrupt, yeah? (http://www.couriermail.com.au/business/sport-apparel-firm-blks-parent-company-placed-into-administration/news-story/68de827507e68ec776f57659d20fd096)

pretty sure BLK still exist post-bankruptcy as they were specifically mentioned as an option, but reasons not to go with them appears to have ruled them out, thought the scum used Umbro?

One of the major achievements I have assumed was Lawries doing was the jerks members tickets working at coast away.
Can we ask lawrie - whom put in the hard yards to make that happen?
