I think it's more to do with a wealth of talent in the positions he plays more so than any lack of effort on his part. And he's got nowhere near the versatility of someone like Brown or Kanta who can slot in pretty much anywhere.
He will struggle to get a run this year unless a few key players get injured.

What did impress me was the finishing and its quality
Petratos Champness Nabbouts disallowed strike and Roy's header were all quality finishes

Considering we usually look wank at shooting it would appear Bert has these blokes really working hard on shooting drills

Because the quality and power of the finishing was much superior than we have had in years

Either we had an on day where it all came off or these blokes have put the hard yards in during training to up the skill sets

Looking back at the game, not sure if it's a positive or negative having brown as our replacement for Vargas. wasnt the worst in the gypo game due to being up 3-1 by the time of the sub but if we're chasing the game I can't really see that being a positive change.
