there was also a moment early in the 2nd half where he had swapped out on his man (after another kamikaze run), everything looked under control but he went screaming at Champness to switch back even though it meant Ivan having to put in an extra sprint.
he knew the break was coming and he wanted the One True Joey on his bike.
it was brilliant communication and just that extra bit of effort that seems to be contagious in this team at the moment.

I didn't like his reaction to the penalty. He made himself look guilty. He needs more drama; he needs to project incredulity and high dudgeon. He needs to scream "What?!" as though he had just been wrongly sentenced to five years' imprisonment.

Instead, he looked like he was thinking: "Oh no, they saw me do it!"
