What position did you expect us to be at New Years/Christmas? 5th or 6th
What position do you think we will finish in? 2nd (but we will run Sydney close)
Do you think we will play in the grand final? i want to say yes, but i'm not sure we will
Which Jets player has surprised you the most? Kanta - been solid and keeps getting the job done. a marked improvement from recent years
Best Jets player to date? Dimi, stepped up when needed
Best Jets moment for this season so far? Roy ripping the coasties a new one on debut
Best Jets match for this season so far? last match against Sydney.
Worst Jets moment for this season so far? Vargas' injury
Worst Jets match for this season so far? Melbourne City match on 2nd of December
Which team has surprised you the most (either positively or negatively)? Sydney, was expecting at least one wheel to fall off by now, but they're still travelling fine. the turds.
Which teams will play in the finals? Sydney, Jets, City, Reds, Wanderers, Victory

What position did you expect us to be at New Years/Christmas? Pre season? Probably around 6th.

What position do you think we will finish in? Torn between 3rd and 2nd, I think we are good enough for 2nd but may drop some silly points as we've had a few lucky escapes so far.

Do you think we will play in the grand final? Yes

Which Jets player has surprised you the most? So many to choose from but probably Petratos. I thought he was just going to be a pretty solid player, good A-League level attacking player. Been a little quiet the last few games but overall up there with the best in the comp and has really carried our attack in the absence of bigger names.

Best Jets player to date? Petratos, see above.

Best Jets moment for this season so far? Probably the final 5 minutes of the game in Perth. As much for the hilarity as the joy, that was such a funny end to that game and could not believe we'd just done that.

Best Jets match for this season so far? I dunno which, but the draw against Sydney with an Kanta, Boogs, Vujica, Cowburn missing from our already thinned out squad was an amazing result and performance. In addition to the 4-0 Wanderers, our most complete performance of the year coming off the back of two pretty average ones. I was concerned that we were starting to fall away from our form somewhat, but the game against WSW was just fantastic.

Worst Jets moment for this season so far? Injury to Vargas. Was absolutely gutted.

Worst Jets match for this season so far? Result aside, probably Perth. We've had some poor halves in quite a few games, but most of that game was pretty average.

Which team has surprised you the most (either positively or negatively)? If you don't include us? Probably WSW. Our first game against them I thought they looked really good. But they have gone downhill badly since then.

Which teams will play in the finals? Sydney, Jets, Victory, City, Adelaide, WSW.

•What position did you expect us to be at New Years/Christmas? I expected us to be around the fringes of the top 6 – perhaps 5th.

•What position do you think we will finish in? Second, barring any further injuries. The squad depth has been tested and has responded well.

•Do you think we will play in the grand final? Yes. And we will win it.

•Which Jets player has surprised you the most? Ben Kantarovski. For a player, for mine, that was lucky to receive a contact (and a 1 year deal at that) he’s stepped up and cemented his position. He’s scoring goals and before last week had pulled together the most consecutive matches in his career (15).

•Best Jets player to date? Nikolai Topor Stanley. He has been rock solid and a composed leader at the back. He is playing far better than I recalled him playing for us in his first stint.

•Best Jets moment for this season so far? Roy’s first half hat-trick on debut. That set the tone for the season.

•Best Jets match for this season so far? You can’t go past the 5-1 demolition of the Mariners for all it represents, but I felt the 4-1 win v Victory and 4-0 over WSW were our most lethal and complete performances.

•Worst Jets moment for this season so far? Vargas injury definitely soured the wonderful start to the year.

•Worst Jets match for this season so far? Loss to Melbourne City. That was a preventable loss and we didn’t take our chances or play well that game.
•Which team has surprised you the most (either positively or negatively)? Adelaide are performing better than I expected and both out games against them have been won by tight margins.

•Which teams will play in the finals? 1. Sydney, 2. Jets, 3. Victory, 4. Adelaide, 5. City, 6. WSW or Mariners.

best 1st half season ever, most crucial injuries ever, at least we are a joy to watch regardless where we finish.

I tipped them to be Premiers, 2 days before Popa left. Even considering coaching changes, their squad is too good and too expensive to not be up with us and Sydney.
