Went to a game in Thailand the other month
For $3 was getting long necks of Singha at full strength
They were pouring them into a plastic cup for safety reasons but at $3 a long neck they were more than welcome
Anything under 20k is a poor crowd IMO after the GF attendance and all the people whining about not getting tickets
Why??
The GF was full of plastics we all know that
If you thinking they turning out en masse for rank and file HAL games you are delusional
We have an increased membership which is a positive and it now up to the Chinese Light Salesman and his Gypo appointee to keep us as a semi successful side for future years and not the diabolical dogs breakfast we have been for the previous 10
Do that and our memberships will steadily grow up to 12/15k

Well when I filled out the immigration card the other week I was able to tick the visiting Friends / Relative box and there was no lie in that statement
I use to just tick the Holiday box but that box is now more accurate
Aussies are well liked in Thailand
The locals have little time for Indians and Chinese these days as both countries have mass budget tourism to Thailand as it more or less on their doorsteps and as a result they get the Indian and Chinese Equivalents of the Bali Bogans in full flight

I wouldnt day the sky is falling in
We are not that bad a side
We aint enjoying much luck and our execution is letting us down
Defensively we aint going that bad
Our shooting this season has been ****ing abysmal though
We are creating chances
When we get a shot in it doesnt require the keeper to actually work
I dont recall an opposition keeper actually making a "save" against us
Our shots have either been straight at them or well wide of the goal
As for Jair bloke is our very own Leroy George

You know the standard of the league is diabolical when the likes of Hoff can get a start at 9 three weeks running. Or Ernie and Lawrie taking the piss having had all of the off season to address the absence of Roy and they came up with Hoff.

Yeah a couple of the drunker ones were mouthing off to some older gentlemen and one older fella bit and it almost escalated to a brawl until a couple of their more responsible fans restained their cowardly mates and an older lady walking in front of us got in their face and told them to wake up to themselves

Just my view....
Moss: Shaky on set pieces but generally ok 5/10
Crazy George: good first half but then disappeared. 5/10
Boogs: Solid and strong in the air. Some say he should have done more to prevent the goal, but where were our DMs? 6/10
Two Dads: solid but not spectacular. 5/10
Stretch Jackson: Scared the shit out of me in the first half he was out of position so often. Lucky Barbarouses left him alone. Better in the second half. Bonus point for going around Broxahm like the useless old Tard that he is. 5/10
Stevie Ug: To me, possibly our best for most of the match. 7/10
Ridenton: Was he on the field? 2/10
Vargas: Our most dangerous by far. First half work with Dimi, Crazy George and co down our right was excellent. Quieter in the second as we surrendered the midfield. 7/10
Dimi: FFS, stop going backwards and put the fancy stuff away!! Go back to doing what you do best: go forward. 5/10
Jair: not in the game enough. Even when he shifted to the right the ball then went left. Needs more fitness. Needs to be our 9 until Roy gets back.
The Hoff: Sorry mate, your days as a 9 are over. Back to right back with you. 4/10
Subs:
Mitch "Bionic Man" Austin: he came, he saw, he did nothing. 2/10
Kanta: should have started. Came on too late but looked good 6/10
Kaine "baa baa" Sheppard: Needs more time in the game. No rating here.
We looked great in the fist 35 to 40, particularly down our right. I have no idea what Muscat put n the Koolaid at half time but it certainly woke Victory up. we kept Honda very quiet in the first half but he got into the game in the second.
Muscat has our number. Sit back, take in the pressure knowing we are struggling in front of goal and wait until we tire. Ernie needs a second string to his bow.
PS: Niedermeier: anyone else think of Animal House when you see his name or am I just an old ****?

The Ugabooga mans last 20mins of games this year have been ordinary. Hes usually still motoring.
Ridenton is offering him little help. Id say starting Kanta next week will help Ugabooga man immensely.
Hoff showed his inexperience as a front man last night. A few times he needed to gamble on making a run but didnt. hes a very reactionary player. his 'hold up play' in the 2nd half when they needed some respite was bad.
Vargas is excellent.
Petratos just isnt clicking, but man oh man his teammates were often no where near him to play the easy pass.
You all loved the gypo CEO last year, well now that hes stacked the team full of secret agents like Austin and Boogaard you still wanna clap him. Bloke is a disc-race and should be sacked ASAP.
but biggest takeaway, the bloke in the blue shirt checking everyones tickets at the entrance to Bay 3 was a clown. Took his job way too seriously. Told Plague Jnr to move at one stage while he was waiting for some old people to pass. was giving people the chat about their behaviour 3 mins after they took their seats (which was about 45min before kickoff).
way to make the football a fun night out.
