I can see us playing well in this one only to be robbed by VAR and a Ref looking after Sydney FC.
I think we showed enough against Adelaide to beat Sydney FC and if we get a bit of luck I think we will do it easily - but poor decisions by officials have often decided this fixture.

Especially after they claim they were robbed against Wanderers...
I agree with you.. I reckon we will go like last week.. Create some chances, fail to put them in the back of the net.. Then cop it.. Fox Sports will go wild about how amazing Sydney are.. etc etc

One less Gypo is always for the best. (I think we've only got 3 more left to go that I can think of.)
Also, he hasn't shown much quality in front of goal (neither have the others) so can't say it's a bad move technically.

Needs to improve his finishing for sure but gets in the right areas & our front 4 as a unit, while not being spectacular, seemed to have built a bit of understanding & cohesion. Thought we looked worse with him off last week, which imo would be the first thing I’d look at if making changes.
Burns for JK seemed a no brainer to me.

Jk is a merrick fav as is Dimi and Ridenton, Anyone in those rolls only plays when their injured regardless of form
Bert probs had a few dollars on the smurfs hence the selection of JK and Ridenton.
If Fitzgerald has not improved his finishing after playing for half the clubs in the A League he is not ever going to improve.

Dimi has zero chemistry with the rest of this team now. He isn't doing too bad, but he's not on the same wavelength as anyone else and it's hurting us. The midfield has to bypass him constantly as he's not where they are looking.
I'll change this to be specifically related to the centre of the park and not the attacking 3rd. He is finding players in the box ok.

I didn't see anything better than JK. Didn't see anything worse, but he's not going to fix that defence. Kanta in for Boogs would be a better change. Or Hoffman switched with Millar. Millar is a worse defender than JK.

Anyone else notice it takes Dimi about 5 seconds before he decides to go press anyone. Let's them take a touch, look up and then Dimi makes a half arsed effort to jog towards them. He drags our own midfielders out of position having to cover the defensive midfielder coming through when he could easily just get in front of him and stop the easy run.

In what way is that his fault? 3 players let McGowan get to that ball, with his boot!!! Not a header, he had enough space to kick that towards goal and it happened to go straight at JK. Topor as marking him and Boogs/Kanta failed to win the header. Those 3 conceded that goal, not JK.

Ok, so he made a change at halftime to try to get some control. Then we concede from a corner, and because he hasn't made an immediate sub before they kick off you've had enough? Just want to be sure of your outrage there. It's not at McKinna for giving him a mediocre squad, or the players for not defending a pretty simple corner...
Also, Ernie can't go because we can't afford to pay him out or pay anyone else to come in.

Millar has cost us 2 goals and Johnny K has cost us 1. Johny K has the excuse of being left to mark 2 players and Millar is a filthy Gypo.

Johnny K has been hung out to dry and im not sure why a coach would do that to him but anyway.
Hoff has missed chances, but remember that time he didnt miss those chances?
im not down on Dimi the way most are on here.

Our starting 11 is made up of too many players who at any other club would be in there suits on game day not even close to being considered for a jersey on match day .
Our clubs performance is a reflection of our owners commitment.
The real concern going forward will be the blokes like Dimi who will want out sooner rather than later once they realize this shit show of a circus ain't turning around in a hurry on or off the park.

Our clubs performance is a reflection of our owners commitment.
I said earlier to someone that we need 5 players to be a mid table side. The majority of this squad wouldn't even play at Roar or the Nix.
New owners need to find the following; GK, LB, RB, CB x1, CM X 1. (That's including a fit Wessi)

Actually Fitzgerald fits in well here. Lots of running, very little skill. Just need to replace Arroyo with a fit Sheppard and we would have a forward line that teams wouldn't need to defend against. Give us 30 chances and we still wouldn't score.

**** Dimi is painful to watch. Release the ball just once within 5 seconds of receiving it.

We actually managed to have similar shots on target, as well as passes into the box. So that weird midfield formation did give us enough players forward to create chances again, just left us super open out wide and then we had no one to knock those chances in.
I have had enough of Ernie as coach in the long term, but I'm not putting this form down to him. He's working with a really bad squad and still giving us a chance to win games.

He can't leave. We don't have anyone to step in now that Deans is gone and the club can't afford to pay him out or replace him. If Ernie leaves I give us a solid chance of folding.
We really need to find a new owner, just write this season off and hope that someone sees our crowd numbers and the potential in the area.

It's his last season I think so doubt he gets resigned unless we make top 4
Kayo sports has a good feature where you can watch 4 channels at once so i could fit the soccer, cricket, rugby and back to the future on at the same time, im now just watching Isa Guha on full screen what a very attractive and entertaining person she is.
Set your VPN to outside of Oz in some buttruck nowhere country that doesn't show this tinpot comp

Get a VPN either way, but this is a very good set if instructions. So what the member says here!

Just dont pick a country where the HAL is shown like UK Thailand NZ etc
Go for some real obscure country and you be set. If it fails try another country until you find a good one

I don't mind paying for Kayo. I think they have done well enough to get a healthy ROI.

But what else is there other than a small amount of football to keep me interested

yeah but im not poor.
you enjoy it though homie.
After watching this game i reckon this season is really starting to get that sort of a foul stench we had when Stubbins was here.Unless this club gets its shit together on and off the field they will be struggling to get 5k to a home game halfway through this season.

from the time Zane announced he was leaving and especially after it was made clear we weren't getting Ruben, I've had the feeling we'd end up with McKinna as Ernie's offsider, and after tonight's drubbing I'm starting to think we might need Lawrie's second set of eyes on the sideline to help Ernie with his selections...

My wife likes to watch test cricket, 20/20, laliga, a-league, and Ice Hockey - and I watch moto gp, NfL, and cycling so we get good use from it. With foxtel we only watched sport because we used other streaming services for tv shows and movies.

Save the money you are giving to Kayo and invest it wisely at the Bookies on whoever the Jets are playing
You be stupid to not print money

Going by Berts selections you can rest assured he has got himself some of those odds.
