Good to see how Wes was able to lift up the whole team (including Millar, who had an absolute shocker today).
I had the impression that Dimi played more free from pressure once Wes came in.
Also... when (and if) Ledley comes into the picture, it might be interesting to see Uga+Ledley and Wes in front of them (And yes, Dimi out. He's still far from the player he was 2 years ago)

Did anybody else catch McGowan talking about the brawl in the tunnel at halftime between the recent Sydney FFA FC and Gypo's. I watched that game and just before half time you could hear somebody from one of the benches ay to another " shutup dickhead " and later in the broadcast there was mention of words in the tunnel on the Fox broadcast but nothing about a brawl as McGowan described it , In actual fact he talked it right up and was surprised Fox seemed to miss or chose to miss most of it.

Would this have gone so far under the radar with no citings if it were any other match and clubs involved outside of FFA FC ?.

Huh ?. It was Sydney FC's Ryan McGowan who mentioned the fisticuffs in the tunnel when they played the Mariners a result of that dangerous tackle just moments before half time and the lip you could hear in the background between team officials as they left the field.Wrong McGowan , Dylan McGowan had nothing to do with it.

I am tipping Smurfs Ryan McGowan will be told to not mention it again as it was well and truly kept quite til he spilled the beans on his own club during last nights pre game coverage of our game. Any other game with that behaviour in the tunnel not involving Sydney FC officials and there would have been hell to pay.

The passing down our right side in the first half was woeful. I was on the opposite side of the field, so I'm not sure who exactly it was - I'm thinking majority of the turnovers were Millar, but maybe Johnny had some turnovers there too.

I think overall he's been pretty solid for us in the back 3, and has had a couple of standout games.

Millar is the worst passer in the game , Bloke wouldn't look out of place in our W League side his passing has been as atrocious as theirs this season.

Millar was Glory's best player Saturday, Completed more passes for them than any other Perth player. He also got the entire 3,2 and 1 points from the Glory fans on there forum.

Watching the replay after the game there was an extended conversation caught on camera between Robbo and Millar, I am tipping his passing game was at the centre of that exchange. That was dead set under 12's D Division passing from Millar on Saturday and can't continue. Whats more like Fitzuseless v Sydney he drops his head when he turns it over not even having the situational awarenessto try fixing his screw up. I had high hopes when he signed for us but other than his raw speed he got nothing. Bloke can't defend and he certainly can't pass.

I'll grant you there were a lot of balls that were played into forwards feet and got intercepted. Some of those are probably the fault of the forwards, some the passer's and some both.

However, there were also a lot of poor passes down that side that just went straight to opposition players as well. I think Millar was the chief culprit there.
I don't mean to rag on the guy, but he has to realise what his strengths and weaknesses are. He is not a playmaker and not good at picking passes. If we're building possession and it comes to him while stationary, he needs to just find a simple pass if nothing's on (most likely backwards) after drawing the defender and keep it ticking over. Because too often when he tries to find a penetrating pass inside or create something it comes undone and leaves us exposed.

On the bright side, I thought he was a bit better (still not good) in the second half and had a few good crosses and supporting runs for Wes - who was probably my motm despite only playing half an hour.

Burns had more time and space on the ball than most others in the first half. He wasn't "marked out of the game". Perth were just pressing aggressively.

I thought their defenders were allowed by the ref to bully us out of the game in the first half. It wasn't until the second when a few yellows finally came out. There was a shirt pull on Dimi in the first half while breaking that went unpunished too, while Gus got one five minutes later for the same thing.

Millar is a bench player - someone you bring on to run at or past tired defenders. He should not be starting.
His passing and lack of defensive awareness are too far below par to even suggest he needs to improve.
