Return of Couscous.

Saw Cous at a recent A-League women's game - had a bit of a chat too.

How do we play so poorly all night and then put together a minute of football like that and score like that

We're either so good or so so bad

Port Mac Pele needs to be signed for life.

We're lucky Thurgate is doing midfield and also taking the kind of attacking runs Beka should be doing.
Boumal had a great start of the season, then whatever happened to him...
I don't think we deserved a win, but it's WSW so scr*w them :D

Oils were awesome. How was Arques? And was Boumal being lazy again?

Oils were awesome. How was Arques? And was Boumal being lazy again?

Plenty of holes in the middle of the park in defense in the first half. Arques and also backline to blame. Jurman and Murnane struggled first half.
Arques looked decent on the ball but not amazing, second half was better.

Boumal wasn't lazy, just had a bad game. Most of his dribbles were unsuccessful and a lot of his passes were turnovers - quality just wasn't there tonight.

Thought it was risky bringing Penha and Thurgate particularly off, Gus still looked like he had plenty of legs. Seems like every game once we take the starting midfield off we lose control and lose points. Managed to escape last night.

Where is O'Doherty? We were so much better with him, Thurgate and Penha in the middle.

Our back four give me heart attacks. Hope Pappas is pouring over youtube for some new ones. Time for Hoff to cash in in the NPL.

How good is Gussy Thurgate. Quickly becoming our most important player and adding not just goals but IMPORTANT goals. He's become stronger and he's learning how to use his body.

Luckily the Wanderers are so shit, we were lucky not to cop a flogging. Gus gets a pass mark for scoring but midfield was missing in action for most of the game. Check out the Johnny K run.

100%. I thought he summed it all up perfectly on the stroke of half time. Under the pump and he was first to the loose ball, put his body in the way, had to be wrestled away and drew a foul.
Love what he’s doing.
Agree him and Beka have been our best this year.

Valentino Yuel again coming out strong to start a season and then just falling back into being a squad player is a real depressing sight.

I don’t know what he needs to do to correct that, or if his game is just that easy to figure out that it’s only effective for a couple of games but I hope some day soon he can find full season form cause if so he would be a great player

Where is O'Doherty?

Injury niggle requiring a rest. Pappas said he should be available for this weekends game.

That really was a great ball from penha and very competently put away by thurgate. Great to see.
