This is the sweeps thread, not the real world cup one. Whichever team PV4 had we're going to be a bunch of pricks in my eyes.


That said, Argentina were on another level of prickness to the dutch. They should have had another 5-7 more yellow cards which would have sent multiple players off. Emi Martinez was 2 yards off his line for both saves as well as he could have been sent during the shootout for his antics. The dutch did some dodgy shit, buy they had to after the ref let the game turn to shit, the ref wasn't up to the job that game. Poor selection from FIFA. Argentina should have had that game in the bag given their talent compared to the dutch. Croatia will eat them for breakfast. We've already seen Son, Kane, Neymar and Ronaldo cry. Messi's top level career finally being over next game will be just as sweet to watch. The MLS is going to go bankrupt next year paying for Ronaldo v Messi marketing as well as Bale's golf trips, lol.

Mate the Dutch were embarrassing with their antics, mouthing off before the game and during it too. Not to mention the bullshit they were trying to pull during the shootout. If you can give it, you can ****en well take it. Martinez had at least 1 foot on the line or above it (as i found out from a ref this year is still legal). Goalkeepers get zero advantages during shootouts so we have to take whatever we can to improve our chances of saving. What he did is the same as Redmayne was doing during the Peru shootout and we all loved that.

As for Ronaldo in the MLS lol you don't know do you? Ever wondered why he doesnt get MLS offers or any teams he plays for doesnt go on USA preseason tours?
