Meet 1 was an introduction to those on the council and outlined the expectations. Nothing specifically was discussed in terms of raising ideas however means of gathering input from the fans was something discussed.

We got a run down from Shane Mattiske on the W-League ground issue which has since been communicated out to the broader membership group.

The club asked what we wanted to raise with them and also what we wanted to raise with the APL. I asked what it was the club and the APL wanted to run by us becuse this needs to be a means of two way questioning or bouncing ideas off us before they decide on things like the GRand Final decision - not all about the committee telling the club or APL what to do.

Agreed to meet quarterly. Next one likely before Christmas.

sorry guys, if Jets shaped hats is the most important thing the council will be raising, you've lost my confidence already... I want scarves back as a membership option, revive the Squadron but this time as part of the membership pack (i.e. members are the new Squadron), and bring back Jets dog tags for members (because we're all now Squadron members)...

Perhaps somebody on the council could put it to Mr Mattiske why he would provide commentary regarding the very important issue of ownership to a news outlet where only subscribers can have access to the article.

Does he not think the council would have been the ideal vehicle to also convey anything he had to say on the matter ?.

I can report all 4 of mine attach to the fridge.

However I have seen examples online that appears to have the magnet attached backwards so will on work if the fixtures are actually facing the fridge.

Not a ****ing chance this is true. We have fought to return to the Gold and Navy Blue home strip and are not giving it away without a fight.

No they abso-fuggin-lutely do not.

At this point more fans probably despise those colours than still like them.

The knights are Red and Blue and we know exactly what that club and a large portion of it's fans think of the Jets. They can keep them.

I think if we went with red and blue for our inaugural A league season, perhaps it might be an option, as we probably wouldn?t know any better.

But Gold is our identity now.

Similarly, you now associate Brisbane with Orange. Their NSL team was yellow and blue.

I think while we remain the Newcastle Jets in the A League, we should be Gold.

If for whatever reason, they fail to exist in the future, use whatever colours they want for a new club, But this club should be Gold.

I'm very confident the majority of blue and red fans are Facebook ones wanting to wear their Knights kits to save on money for their kids.


Members would be largely Emerald and Cinnamon fans.
