Not just a local rival....NL have wanted Edden for years. Might be seen this as an opportunity by some.

Didnt they have the opportunity to move to a redeveloped Edden a few years back and declined? This seems like a weird way of going about something they already said no to.

History will tell you new Lambton should be at Eden Oval, politics intervened and Jaffas won the day, believe me it?s true

I don't have a massive understanding of the current situation but just wondering how this would be an opportunity for NL? Jaffas aren't moving from Edden are they? And if they were I would assume it would be because no one could use Edden, so how does it benefit NL?

A couple of seasons ago our WPL / NPL Womens teams played out of Edden due to the competition requirements at the time. We also played some WPL game days out of No. 2 Sportsground.

Since the competition requirements have been softened, presumably to help with the pro / rel side of things, all of our NPL and PYL games have been played at Alder Park.

And with our connection to the Sports Club, it makes no sense for us to play home games anywhere other than Alder.

If I was a cynical.man and associated with New Lambton I'd be kissing the babies of every official and supporting whatever they need and maybe just maybe they will one day piss off the cricket and athletics from Alder Park and I can make it a permanent football facility.

But surely all of these actions are just for the good of the game, I'm.sure I read somewhere the link between basketball and Newcastle Football goes back generations.

Word is Ben Simmons is a huge New Lambton fan.

But if Basketball goes to Wallarah, stupid idea all-round, Jaffas could be hunting grounds in New Lambton. Be careful what you wish for.

New Lambton having issues keeping their players?

I've heard they don't have as much money for players for next year both Mens and Womens.
