Hi team,

I live in Canberra. I also love Newy. In fact, I'm sure that, in general, Canberrans and Novocastrians love each other deeply. We have a lot in common. Our cities are kinda the same size. GVE (may peace be upon Him) spends time in both places.

These are troubling times for all of us. A Canberra team may finally emerge! But our beloved Jets may cark it. In fact, one might not happen without the other.

If it's true that the Jets are on a kamikaze mission, with their final target locked in sight, what will you do next season? Support Canberra? Switch to following NPL Northern NSW only?

I'll leave you with a photo of Canberra United's current, delicious kit. If you squint hard enough, it looks like the emerald and cinnamon of old:

Canberra may also go the route of the Sydney Rovers.

I was a public servant for 20 years...Canberra one of the reasons I chucked it in.

If it blows up I walk away for good.

Yeah if the Jets fold I'm also done with the A-League.

If the Jets are gone then so would my main interest in the A League. I would probably support a team like macarthur from a distance. Best of a bad bunch.

In all seriousness, would the comments made this week about the jets future occurred if FFA were still running the league? Possibly, but I think the fact that the Jets are giving plenty of opportunities to young Australian players makes interest in the jets from an FFA position a little more important .

Lets see. Both commie towns, check. Both voted yes, check. Both are far Left activist greenies, check.

So they both just deserve a Nuke. As for football both are knuckle dragger towns as well. Make sure Plague is either town at the time.

Now its a real 5 star thread

You reckon Canberra is going to get up for the coming season Cous? It seems to me like they're on just as shaky ground as Newcastle. The bid seems to have been stuck in the "we're finalising details" stage for ages, and if there is only a month or so until they need to know who is in the comp next year, things are going to have to happen fast.

I'm doubtful, but I'll be able to cope if the Jets survive.

Goodness me, whatever happened to our new and improved 'no mean tweets' forum?

To be fair if me holding the homing beacon so the first salvo may be accurately dropped to instigate the inevitable armageddon we were always heading towards then hand me the device and get the damn hell outta my way, it's a noble duty worth serving.

(let's face it though I'd probably just pay one of the poors to do it and head to the beach for a swim).
