Anyone know if Broadmeadow Magic would entertain hosting fans on game day for pre-game drinks?

Just kind of pisses me off that the Knights built their "Centre of Excellence" on public land that we used to walk through from the Tennis Club to the stadium.

The Council's "Broadmeadow Place Strategy" envisions a future "Pedestrian Priority Boulevard" from Broadmeadow Railway Station to the Stadium, which will run straight past Magic Park. So I think it would be great if we started giving our drinking money to them and establish a pre-game ritual, whether it be beers on the lawn or something a bit informal to start with.

If Magic would not be interested, I think setting up a Tailgating precinct near the stadium would be an excellent way to add to game day atmosphere.

I propose the parking area outside Magic Park and the District Tennis Club.

It is far enough away from the Stadium Parking that the venue shouldn't have an issue with it and it is off the sealed roads.

They used to do some WSW functions I recall.

I’m sure they’d be open to the idea. Extra $$$ kept in the code.

Exactly, I think we need to start banding together for the good of the code.

We can have a tailgating area outside Magic Park if they can only host functions and have a restricted liquor licence. District Park is not an Alcohol Free Zone.

During the dark days of the Covid restrictions I bought a VW Transporter and equipped it with cooking facilities. I wouldn't mind bringing it to games and have a little BBQ going.
