New referees boss says new rules will improve the comp, let's hope so. They include more robust tackles, only captain can approach the ref, non deliberate handball will be yellow instead of red. Faghani must have missed the memo, some terrible decisions last night.

Agree that there should’ve been a pen for victory just before the first var incident. That red I don’t blame him as from his angle he probably didn’t see the leg bent and only saw Geria lunge in, and the Miranda red was a red every day of the week.

You can't give a red if you can't see it, luckily the best ref was in the VAR. The Victory pen was a joke and I think the VAR didn't want to call him out a second time, and therein lies the problem

Perth losing 5-0 at halftime....and we think we have it bad.

I thought Macarthur was the team that had the players paid to throw a game. They stink in a very suspicious way and I've seen more realistic action in WWE. (For any Perth lawyers out there - I'm joking)

Still very concerned at how this draw is set up. Has any reason been given to why it is like it is? Basically these days football bosses say "like it or lump it".

Next game at home not until 7th December, two byes by years end, and a "home" game made neutral by moving it to Sydney on a Friday night. And the home game after Adelaide is another four weeks later.

By the time we get to the Adelaide home game we could be well adrift - hopefully pick up at least one win and a draw or two. Lose against Adelaide and we might already be gone.

All well and good saying we have a great run of 10 games in the new year but I would rather have the points in the bank (assuming we would do better at home).

If watching a bunch of 40-50 year olds running around is your thing, there's an exhibition match between Tim Cahill 11 versus Ronaldinho 11 on channel 10 at the same time as the Friday night game

must be where all the fans that would normally go to a brisbane game have gone.

I still haven't seen a fan in the stands.

8276 there, most on the camera side with the other side shut.

Never looks good.

Yeah was like a ghost town last night, there was talk of putting everyone on the other side in future and I think that's the way to go, for the night games anyway. Don't know what the orientation is for afternoon summer games

Nathaniel Atkinson's mates need to have a word.

If in doubt, they should find Angus Thurgates mates and get advice how to have the conversation.

It's time

The APL held their AGM last week & nobody knew!
3 board members ?re-elected? (seemingly unopposed)?on the back of two calamitous years.
No financial details disclosed?no strategy announced?

Simon Hill called this out on his podcast last week.

Watching Perth v Brisbane. Two teams standing off each other (when they accidentally end up in a shooting position they fall over), in 35 degree heat, in front of 400 fans. I'm sure the broadcast execs are frothing at the mouth thinking about the opportunity to bid for the next rights contract.

He limped off the other night early on. Didn't look good as he was in tears but no idea what it was.

Didn't see his name on the injury list for the game, may be one of the players the coach had a go at after the game. Not preparing properly apparently

I been watching Brisbane games of late and could be said some of the football they have been playing belies there position on the table. They played well against the nix over there 6 odd weeks ago backed up with a good effort v Victory at home and the win over in Perth. The controversial goal last night was a bit of a turning point in the match, They dropped there bundle off the back of that.

Brisbane have some good young kids in there side inc the midfielder who got a brace against Perth the other week and are probably on a fraction of what blokes like Halloran and Beringar get paid. Those two should hand there wages back off the back of there contribution this season. Brisbane would have been banking on those two players to have a significant impact on the team this season and they have brought nothing week after week.

Classic kiwi commentary justifying paulsen's howler - "perhaps the sun was as in his eyes". The sun was behind paulsen, his shadow was stretching out in front of him for about 5m.

That was Jackson's fault, and he's had a shocker tonight.

But, Corica lost, which means we win.

Insuferable turd is only not the worst person alive because the gypos exist.

**** him, his shit haircut and his skinny jeans.

Arzani man of the match again. A true icon of the game. Will we see a Big Ange/Arzani tag team in the Socceroos jersey again soon?

Oh, **** Craig Foster while we are here.

Correct if I'm wrong (don't bother im never wrong) but the disallowed goal was because the linesman said it went out after the bloke kicked it. Said it went out in the air and curled back in.

Lineo was right in line with the goal line and VAR obviously couldn't overrule it without a definitive angle.

Corica on the telly blowing up saying it was because the ball was out before he kicked it when it clearly wasn't. But that's not the reason for the overrule.

Anyway I'm going to settle in now and watch all the Corica tears, then replay them multiple times as I drink heartily from my Griff edition grand final winners mug.

Eat shit Corica.

Wanker.

Hail Griff!!!!!

Yeah the ball was clearly in when it was kicked. And it was just in when it was headed in.
But to get to that point it had to have travelled out.

Birraghetti signed with Perth
Weird signing because he is so far gone in terms of ability. Even those who watched him play WA NPL recently said he's stinking it up there.

Dundee United fans certainly not a fan of him and if you watched him over there you would agree with him. He was that bad I genuinely believed he was on the take
