Note the start time has been pushed back to 6pm because of the heat. Um it's summer you dickheads
Should win this with some "Archies a wanker" chants, and obviously "Kittos a wanker", because he is

Don?t be fooled by the heat issue, this game was put back because there?s a more attractive game in another country ch10 wanted to air, it wouldn?t happen to any other team then the jets, we just kept getting bent over and jammed

O'Donovan is laying into us in the commentary as he should. If this game continues to play out like this, I'll be shocked if Stanton keeps his job cause this is horrendous for a home game

Agree, Worst start I have seen from the Jets for a long time. 10 shots on goal in first 17 minutes, Enough said.

Stanton needs to go but I'm not sure there is a replacement. Give it go Damien Zane IMO

While they are still 1 or 2 quality players away there is a pretty decent football team amongst that group.

Little buddy just ain't bringing it out of them though.

No corner kick music, thankful for small mercies. But the PA is killing me.

After having your ears bludgeoned at 250db, said PA guy yells "make some noise", and nobody can hear their noise because of the volume. It is noticeable that the first few minutes after kickoff are almost silent whilst our ears recover. There was one point where the music was playing, then the guy on the field started yelling and the idiots upstairs cranked the music up to 11!

Oh and the fun continues at halftime with the lovely messages of positivity. Firstly we must listen, again, to the Code of Behaviour (maybe we should sign off something when we get our memberships), then be preached to on the consequences of racism and bullying. On to the no nos of lighting flares at games for another minute and finally what will happen to those of us who invade the pitch. This must be a regular occurrence seeing how forceful the warning was.

The crap on the field had me pissed enough, but nothing off field makes you feel any better. FMD that was one of the worst nights of football I've seen in 40 years.

Oh well, another month to recover and think it is ok to go back......

I just watched the replay.
Stanton has to go.
Paramount commentary is so bad I had to turn the sound off.
Roy did well and told it like it is - but that other bloke is terrible.

Ben Homer, I reckon he is a really good commentator. Newcastle lad, Roy is decent too.

I think Plague said it well, 1-2 quality players short.

Only highlight from last night was meeting Franco Parisi. Bloke is awesome!

I asked him if he knew he was a cult hero of the club. He had no idea and was shocked people knew him. Very humble.

Told him he's a legend on here, talked about his Jets history, his goals and how he's so often in top players afterwards. He was honestly shocked. His partner was stoked for him.

Awesome experience

Otherwise there isn't much to get interested in.

If our business model is to sell young players, we need experience around them to allow them to shine. Right now the model is failing because they are all leaning at once.

We need some experience in this team. The balance is off.

Defence is at sixes and sevens. We don't even look like scoring. We can't build sustained pressure or build territorial advantage.

I still don't think Stanton is capable of fixing his own mess

Ahh that get fixed with a proper coach who can actually start developing this team and puttting in gameplans and structures in place to get the best out of them but **** Knows who is free for that

Natta ain?t a left back and Ingham is somehow getting worse. Stanton was first up the tunnel at halftime and the goal keeping coach had to calm Ryan Scott down as he was spraying Stanton. Wasn?t a good look

I know there are players at the club who can't stand each other and there is a growing number displeased with Stanton and his approach. Not naming names for fear of putting in where i got this from but as they say " mark me " on this.

Well Scott sprayed him halfway through the first half for the lack of press in the front third

Yeh i don't normally care much for he said she said muck raking stuff as i'm all too old for that shit but off the back of the bizarre nature of the post match press conference and in particular the last few minutes of Stanton's comments i did feel compelled to ask the question this morning of somebody. It was said that there is a divide in the playing group that goes much deeper than just a dislike for each other but also who is behind the coach and who is not. I was surprised to hear its not just a couple who feel one way or another but a split pretty much down the middle.

GVE nearly destroyed NTS ignoring his strengths and making him play in an unsuitable way.

Stanton is doing the same with Natta.

I'm still a big fan of Papas, I know others weren't but we played some pretty decent football under him. His recruitment was good for what money he had available, I watched a couple of his training sessions and it was clear the players respected him and followed his instructions.

Damien Zane could be a good interim manager, also would give an opportunity to see if he could possibly do it full time.

Far too many times we are just so inconsistent in games. Yesterday's start was horrendous, then we have some good patches. But the finish reminded me of the city game, playing against 10 and struggling to create. Interesting to see what the reasoning was for poor start, was the warm-up to intense yesterday given the heat?

Either way I was happy I stayed at home instead of going. Having the ability to flick the TV over to watch Travis Head smash the Indians was the correct decision.

Papas as a manager wasnt flexible and second season was found out and didnt do anything to rectify that

Damian Zane as an interim feels like the safest bet, sign some older players for the remainder of the season in key roles (a midfielder is the big one - CAM and a right back stick out for me as well)

Thanks for the info 380, that's usually the case when the team is under performing, but it's usually the whole team. It's occurred at bigger clubs than ours, but somebody from management needs to grow some balls and get it sorted

Jets have 2 right backs currently one their books in Ingham and Aquilina. You can't bring a right back in unless you did some business the other way.Ingham won player of the year in 2022/2023 so I'd suspect his contract reflects that. Hard to see any movement on Ingham or Aquilina.

Both are decent players, but both look like they are unsure on their roles and that is reflected in their performances.

I would think unless a player moves come January, Nobody of any note will be coming in. I don't think the financials will allow it to happen.

Would not surprise in the slightest if a decision has been made, That was some real weird shit he spoke of in that press conference. An entitled generation and boxing gloves etc. It just got straight out odd toward the end.

You can cop losses on the back of being beaten by much better teams but we don't even look like a ZPL side at the minute. We are playing poor football and players have gone backwards since last season and being called mannequins during the broadcast was pretty f%^&ed. Its a shit comment but pretty hard to argue.

Time to wipe the dribble off your face....
I also follow Liverpool, I suppose I am not a real supporter as I haven't gone to one of their games.

Stick to topic...

Nah, you gotta go, using Liverpool as a cover doesn?t add up considering they in a different country, if we all stayed home then we?d have no club eventually
