Watch on Para+,10play and 10bold(FTA)
Can't see much changing, unless someone has a blinder
I think it was the knowledgeable Mr Lowe of herald fame, estimated that 40 points would be needed this year to make the final 6, that's 10 more wins for us:wacko:

Lose 3-0 but if players ignore Stanton then 2-2.

Surely the bloke who fires the cannon is in for of his busiest games of the season.

Bloody Stanton, why did he let old mate run in behind and cross to an unmarked man in the middle. Coach needs to sub himself off.

If we could replace Wilmering with someone even as good as just Aquilina that left hand side would be so much more dangerous, he’s got some good ideas but doesn’t have the skills to pull any of it off

we only had 4 defenders inside the six yard box-how could you expect them to shut down one man

The women's ashes is better viewing. They have more spine than this lot.

Everyone out.

Scott’s gotta be benched next game. You can’t do that in a derby that we’re losing 1-0 and there not be consequences.

And Rose and Kota need to be in the starting XI

Wasn?t Rose brought in as our marquee striking option to replace Stama? If he is fit how is he not starting?

76th down 2-1, why have we not brought on Welli and Dobson and just thrown everything at them

Basically a single Ryan Scott brain fart away from a decent result there. At least he saved a couple to try to make up for it.

There are a few players in this squad who are always really up for it, and a lot more who you can see jogging around at random times when the opposition have the ball. I kind of get it, there's no real jeopardy in losing and the squad is so light of talent that there's little chance if repercussions, but it still sucks to see.

Shit coach...TICK

Look, I'm not so sure about the coach.
If 5 players fall asleep in the box and the goalie has soapy gloves, these are individual mistakes: can't really blame the coach.

I think we're playing decent football, given the material.

Then again, finishing is an individual skill: our attacking players definitely need a lot of work in that area (which yes, is the coach's responsibility too).

Certain roles we're quite weak so I can understand it. But, I'm firmly of the idea that anything other then Scott on the bench next week is an insult to the fans

We had cancar and Grimaldi fit and ready weeks ago when Natta was making mistake after mistake

Most of these players were chosen by the coach, so the blame must fall on him for their mistakes or poor form, and as Arnie said if you are not improving the team, it's time to go. Anyone seen improvement? because I haven't

For every Natta mistake, he saves at least one mistake from someone else and plays 5 or 6 wonderful passes forward that completely bypass midfield. There's a reason he's so heavily marked by opposition forwards, both positively and negatively.

He's also been dropped before, as well as moved to LB, and every time he does the other CBs struggle just as much.

You either take a mistake with the good stuff he brings or you accept a mistake from one of the others without all the good stuff. Pretty simple decision IMO.

We simply don't have anyone better in the squad to drop him for, same goes for Scott. Welcome to the A League boys and girls, where a bunch of semi-pro footballers get paid too much to attempt to entertain us for 90 mins each week.

Problem is his mistakes and his refusal to track runs from opposition players especially in the box keeps leading to goals

I mean yeah, he's a CB, every mistake gifts the opposition a chance to score.

And every time Scott makes a mistake it's basically a goal conceded.

And every time a striker makes a mistake nobody notices because you've still got 10 men to help cover it.

That's football baby.

This isn't FM, you can't just replace players whenever you get bored of them. We don't have any better options on the bench right now and his positive affect on the game is too hard to replace with any of the alternatives anyways. If our forwards could score a few more goals we wouldn't even notice the mistakes our backline makes.

We have the equal 7th best defence in the league so far this season. We have the 10th best attack, and have scored half as many goals as the most potent. However we have the 8th most expected goals and 8th most touches in the opposition box.

We are creating chances, we are controlling games, we are even defending well enough to be close to the top 6. We just can't score goals. Natta getting dropped doesn't help that and if anything probably hurts it.

To add a little further to Frodo's good post, I thought that was one of Natta's best games this season.

We've got an xG of almost 20 (19.98) season to date and have scored 18 goals so we're a little behind. Likewise our opposition are outscoring their xG (21.63) too, having conceded 25 season-to-date.

I mean all things considering Victory aren't the most potent team in the comp. 24 goals, only 6 more then our 18 with an extra game on top. If they don't replace him for this game, then definitely don't for Adelaide and give him a run against Brissy
