Aqualina is injured, and new signing Bertolissio who will likely serve as his backup is unable to play due to appearing for a different side during the cup.

I was of the belief that Ben Van Dorssen was able to play RB, and Garang Arou came on briefly in that slot last season, but saw it floated that either Bracco or Scicluna, who both got minutes at RB against Brisbane are likely to play in that role which seems very strange to me.

Either way, losing Aquilina will be rough as he was a high point of the team against Adelaide

Last ticket sales check we were at 3894.
I believe it's more than the Jets Women's best attendance? Assuming everyone turns up of course.

Big night for the club.

It was announced as a ground attendance record last night, Retro. Largest Women's attendance at the ground is 3842 v Sydney FC in December 2023. That was the Courtney Vine/Emily van Egmond promoted match

Pretty poor quality match, Jets will have to be much better than that to get past the Cows

The pitch was a cow paddock last night. Not what either team would have hoped for and not a good look for the council.

Credit to the fans for showing up - a great night otherwise for football and a massive night for the Cookers. Loved hearing the "Fire in the Hole" call at kick off.

Jets did what they had to do. In the past we'd make things difficult but the 2 first half goals saw things managed well. On to Macarthur FC next week, which will be at home, for a sport in the semi-finals. Time for retribution after last year.

We did well to score 5 goals on that goat track.

There is now a clear possibility of a home final should we get that far.

It is likely the other finalist will be Auckland/Sydney or Wellington. The final cannot be played in NZ under the draw rules.

The spoiler of course will be the Sydney entitlement culture.

I'm not sure that it's a bad look for council. The game was played on a Rugby Field, that gets heavy traffic at the best of times, in the middle of winter, after prolonged rain. I think in this instance council staff did the best they could in difficult circumstances.

The other options to play at were potentially Magic, Olympic or Edgeworth. All three of these options don't exactly fare that well in the wet either.

A bit of respite from the rain would be welcomed by all I think.
