I know this is the Jets, but something feels different this year, and I think it's down to the respect for the coach. I remember as a teen being coached by a guy who was a local legend and played for Australia. The respect not only attracted better players but made the whole team perform better. Even if the Cup doesn't come our way, I think we're in for a better year

It does feel different, but we've seen so many false dawns that it's hard to get too invested. Milligan is certainly one who the media treat with a much higher profile that Papas, Stanton or Deans. That brings more coverage and eyeballs - only a good thing.

I think that there is also a crop of youngsters that will certainly play a part is goo too.

The league profile has changed with many youngsters given their chance and the older crew finishing out their careers, with a smattering of mid-career players who have reached their level. This levels it out for us.

I sadly don't think Taylor plays for us again. Asked to leave 3 times? Cleary doesnt want to be here anymore and Milligan want's players commited. A young player will take his spot until we get a good fee for him

Yes, they are showing it on multiple screens in the venue, inc the big screen upstairs.
I'm using this as a backup if Modus is too full. Aiming for 6pm at Modus.

Young mate who I spoke to suggested people get there around 6:30pm to get a place.
Apparently, there are lots of tables upstairs.
I haven't been there since I organised a Cookers breakfast up there for the 2005 Uruguay away leg!

Also, football patrons won't have to join the line of young people, often seen cueing to get entry in at these venues.

There was another screen behind the bar that was lagging the big screen too, I heard.

I was 16 yo and in year 11 at Broadmeadow High that year.
A handful of us younger Rowdies went down on a 'school night' (Wed, 29th Aug) for the semi final v APIA at St George Stadium.
We sat at the back of the players bus, which was common practice back in those days.
Won 0-2 and went to the Cross to celebrate afterwards with the players. ***king A! My first time at the Cross.
There's a few familiar faces in that video who greeted the players off the bus.

I hope there's a Cup event at Town Hall on Monday.
